Great instructions and an easy way of making a difficult block
I tried many different ways of creating tumbling block blocks and this was the first one that was truly easy and came out looking like the picture in the book. The. method is easy and very well documented. Highly recommend.

Book is okay, but can get confusing
The book does have a lot of detail, but there is also a lot of coding used. I think once you know/memorize the coding (the coding color coded = one color means first cut, another color is second cut, etc.) the book will be easier to follow. There is a lot of flipping back and forth between the front and back of the book. But again, once you do a first quilt, it should get easier. I think the strip piecing is a much easier way to make the tumbling block and can't wait to finish my quilt.

Lots of patterns.
I wanted this to expand my knowledge of 3D quilting. My first tumbling block was chain stitched. Marci’s method is strip pieced. Already started making one. I did buy a used book but it was in great shape when I received it

Stunning patterns
These patterns are so stunning! They appear to be challenging, but the truly challenging part is in choosing the right fabrics. Once you have that down, the rest is simple as long as you follow the instructions. The end results are absolutely gorgeous!

Best book money can buy. Excellent
I just love this book. Marci is a great quilter, teacher and writer. Her YouTube tutorial on the tumbling blocks quilt inspired me to give it a try. The patterns are well written and very simple to follow for a beginner, like me, and someone more experienced, I was lucky as I got the recommended ruler, corner trimmer and marking tape at the same time so as soon as I got my fabric I was ready to go with the 'Cats Meow' quilt although I ended up making it King size and in different r colours. If you want to try tumbling blocks this is the best book money can buy and is worth every penny. Thanks Marci
