My boys love these shoes. I had to modify them to make them look like Sonic the Hedgehog. I used a piece of elastic.

The product description is absolutely misleading. These do NOT have a rubber outsole bottom which is grippy and provides traction. It has a perfectly smooth, molded plastic bottom, which makes the shoes very slippery and not good for running. I still kept my pair since my son with autism as extremely picky preferences with shoes that have no straps or laces and easy to slip on and off (as these are), but I wanted a tennis shoe bottom. I have tried a DIY approach and painted the bottoms with some fabric paint, which is supposed to dry tacky and provide a bit more grip. I know there are also tacky sprays out there that you can spray shoes to provide more traction for slippery bottoms. And finally, there's always sandpaper.They say you get what you pay for. But I've found American brands of kid shoes on sale for the same price but with much better materials and quality. But it makes me angry that the Amazon listing says there's a rubber bottom when there's not.

The insole was either not secured or was very poorly secured so it kept slipping down and out of place during wear, making the shoe very uncomfortable for my son. So it turns out I had a roll of double sided carpet tape. I decided to try securing the insole with that and it worked great. Now the shoes are comfortable and he likes them. However, I don’t feel I should have had to do any adjustments to make them wearable...so, minus one star.

My son just started Kindergarten this year and we were informed that they would need to know how to tie their shoes as the teachers didn't want to mess with it. We hadn't gotten to teaching him that step yet and he needed new shoes anyway. I stumbled across these and thought, Perfect! No ties to trip over if they come undone, no straps. Just pull on! Easy enough he can get his own shoes off and on with no problems. They've already been through the wash once (due to an accident) and they held up great with no color bleed (we bought red). I did buy one size up since kids grow so fast and they fit great with just a little room to spare.

I bought these for my son who hates tie shoes, and well the Velcro ones never last long for a busy 6 year old. They are exactly as pictured. Perfect shade of red (his fave color) and they fit perfect. He has a fat foot so I sized up half a size. I’ll be buying my other kids a pair as well!

when the shoes were delivered they came in a plastic bag and the shoes were smashed in on the back pushing like what your tennis shoes would look like if you walked on the back of the shoes. my shoes came in 2 days so i dont believe the shoes became that way during shipment. the shoes look like they sat something heavy on the shoes and pressed the shoes in. you know that if you do that to tennis shoes when you try to put the shoes on the back of the shoe will push into the back of your ankle/heel and cause pain, so i had to go to an old school remedy and pack the tennis with newspaper to force the shoe out into the right position then put the shoes in a pillow case and put them in the dryer for several minutes. and you have to leave the paper in the tennis until they are ready to be worn SO BE WARE THE TENNIS DOESNT COME READY TO WEAR.

I got these in size 12 for my 7 year old who is very sensitive to seams, textures, etc. He was very excited to have shoes without even velcro, since his previous shoes kept coming un-stuck. When he first put these ones on, he said they were too tight, and my heart sank. I convinced him to wear them a little more around the house to get his feet used to them, and after not too long, he said they fit just right! He's so happy with them, and says they're the most comfortable shoes he's ever had. Success!
