Perfect for sensitive skin/babies
My son has very sensitive skin, doesn’t have eczema. However, for eczema products tend to be the only things that don’t break him out. After trying a couple different “kid/sensitive skin” products, nothing was working. He would be covered in a fine rash every time. I bit the bullet & bought this stuff due to the minimal ingredients. It has been amazing! He doesn’t break out, the coverage is awesome, & he has yet to burn. A little goes A LONGGGGGG way!! Especially on a tiny body. I usually do a pea sized amount at a time to be sure I don’t get too much. It does take a minute to work it on & definitely knead the bottle before using. But that is nothing compared to the peace of mind I have knowing he’s not having a reaction & is well covered.

Good and bad
Ok so this sunscreen is great at preventing sunburn in this crazy aggressive AZ sun. I love that the ingredient list is clean, safe and nontoxic. However, the lotion is very thick and impossible to rub in evenly. My daughter looks ghostly white, which I don’t mind when we’re at the pool, playing sports, etc but not for everyday use. The whiteness rubs off on everything, clothes, car seat, furniture etc. During bath time it’s impossible to wash it off. After a few days of consistent use, her neck developed these dry spots, I’m assuming from the high zinc content. It’s like lizard skin and she keeps itching it. We stopped using for a few days and went back to our old brand, and the dryness is going away.I don’t see us using this as an everyday sunscreen. However, for days where we will be spending more than usual time in intense sunlight, I will still use it due to its heavy duty protection.

SHOCK AND AWE!
For zinc sunscreen, I found this to leave a little less mess behind than others I’ve used. Mind you, it’s still messy. I absolutely love the very limited amount of ingredients in this product and my toddler’s sensitive skin didn’t at all react. We were on the Gulf Coast of the US for a beach trip, and it was windy; no worries about losing a spray sunscreen to the wind! It’s also a little closer to the equator and therefore easier to roast under the sun, but I was so happy that he didn’t. Granted, I reapplied faithfully every 90 minutes, and we had a sunshade. He also wore a hat and rash guard. But everything exposed didn’t burn. This stays on really well in the water. The only issue is if a suit strap or rash guard rubs against it, or you have a spot where a repetitive motion is occurring (like the crook of your arm/top of forearm while building a sand castle), you’ll lose sunblock from this area sooner simply because it’s being rubbed off. The good thing is, because this is zinc, you can see those areas getting exposed and reapply accordingly. The same thing happens with all sunscreen, but I never thought about it quite so much until confronted with a visual. Bottom line is, this is the only thing I will put on my child for extended outdoor play, and I felt very confident in its performance and the ingredients. The one thing that bothers me is that I could discern no difference between the “regular” sunscreen and the “kids” version; I purchased both. As an environmentally conscious company, I think it would make more sense to market them as one “All-family” sunscreen in a bigger bottle; it would have spared the environment the additional plastic tube, plus it’s easier to do a run of one product than change your packaging setup for two (yes, I work in consumer packaged goods). I know it’s sometimes more profitable in the short term to sell “kids” and “adults” products because you get the consumer to buy both, but when you have something that’s this safe and actually works on every member of the family...I’d lean into that. It’s a better story and ultimately, better for the planet. I hope to see them evolve!

Surprisingly light weight, easy to use
We wanted to get a physical sunscreen (the kind that stays on the skin and reflect UV rather than get absorbed into the skin) for our one year old. My husband did a ton a research and picked this one. I have used sunscreen all my life and have always used chemical sunscreen (the kind that is absorbed by the skin). This product was a wonderful surprise—if you shake it well and rub some in your palm, it goes on the face without feeling heavy, even compared to expensive physics sunscreens I bought for myself. Also, it can be rubbed in so that it doesn’t look like I am wearing sunscreen, even though I have a medium complexion. Our baby doesn’t complain at all when we put it on her, and it doesn’t cause her any discomfort (she wouldn’t hesitate to let us know). The seller sends a helpful video on applying the sunscreen. We have used this every day before taking our baby out and feel good knowing her skin is protected. I am switching over to this sunscreen for myself, too.

Excellent Sun Block
This product works very well as advertised. I applied it before going out on a very sunny day and did not get any sunburn. I did not reapply as directed, but I was still protected. The only problem with this product and the reason for losing one star is that it makes your skin white no matter what you do. This is OK for arms and legs, but I looked like a clown with a white face. It may not matter for babies, but it is a bad look for me.I will continue to use this on my body and look elsewhere for face protection.
