Mountain Mist Polyester Quilt Batting, Queen 90-inch-by-108-inch

I’ve used Mountain Mist quilt battings for well over 40 years now of quiltmaking — back when they were still wrapped in paper with a quilt block pattern printed inside. I’ve used it extensively for both quilts I’ve done handquilting, & both free motion & dual-feed-line machine quilting upon. I love it!! Consistently good product. And Polyester means the end recipients can wash & dry their quilts normally (hopefully on gentle cycles!) — ‘Cuz ya can’t rely on busy baby-mothers, kids, teens, busy adults, seniors or anyone else in this day & age to be able to regularly hand wash and line dry (outside on a breezy day) a quilt. Even a precious quilt I’ve made & given just for them.I’ve found that if I quilt further than 4”-5” apart on a quilt that will get frequent rounds in a washer/dryer, such as baby quilts or young kids/some adults who are not always continent overnight, I’ve found that the batting can ‘shift’ sometimes. As in moving from between/middles of quilted area, over towards the quilting lines. The easy solution? Quilt closer than 4”-5” on quilts you anticipate will be frequently tossed into a washer and dryer. I’ve heard the same recommendation for other brands/types of battings too, btw.Very reasonably priced, consistent product, a good quality poly batting, a company that has supported quilters and quilting for a long time. What’s not to like? IF you’re looking for polyester batting.

Batting was thin, stiff and lumpy. This used to be a great company that made wonderful thick fluffy batting at a very reasonable price. The only thing left now is that the price is much better than any other batting. It's not as thick or fluffy as it used to be but it still works and because the cost is so reasonable you can afford to put 2 layers of batting in your quilt.

This batting is just what I needed and expected! I have been using Mountain Mist batting for years.

Used this for a tshirt quilt I made our son. It was perfect. The blanket is thick but not overly so and a perfect weight

Excellent product, highly recommend.

I use this product as a supplement to my outdoor fish pond filter. It works great but cutting to a fairly small size size can be difficult. But, so worth it for my use.!

Seemed cheaper than expected, but worked in my machine quilting a comforter project.

i did not wish to use chemicals on my garden fish pond. after seeing this program on how to make a pond filter form this quilt a bought some and it works great and you can wash it to use again chemical free and clear water
