Bonkers About Beetles (About Animals)

Gave this as a gift to my 3 1/2 year old nephew. He loves it. He thanks me for it every time I see him.

This is a really beautiful book, full of fun facts that kids find to be interesting. It appeals to a wide age range - I bought all of the books in this series for my four year old son (and they are now his favorite books), but my other kids (ages 2-8) also love them. I will definitely be watching for more books by this author!

This book is so cool! The illustrations are beautiful and the book itself makes it look much nicer than what I paid for it. The cover has a linen texture like old books and the book contents are on an uncoated paper. The details and drawings of bugs will keep kids busy and interested for a long time!

Such a well made book. I love the feel, it is a super nice book. The drawings are superb and really a piece of art. I love this book and can't wait to give it to my six year old niece who is all about science and beautiful things.

I got this book for my 8-year-old grandson's birthday present. He loves beetles. The illustrations are beautiful and the writing is interesting and informative. Also, it seems to me that the paper is high quality and that the book itself is well-made.

Great book! Purchased for my Grandson. He loved it!

Love these books, this one arrived today with no damage to the envelope but when I looked at the books front cover it has this dark stain on it?? It won't come off. I'll be keeping it as I don't want it to go to waste. Its just a shame and I'm glad it wasn't a gift for someone!

Anxiously awaiting this and two other books by Owen Davey, I was very disappointed by the state two of these beautiful books arrived in. I ordered them for my own collection, so just had to swallow it – had I ordered them as presents, I would have been embarrassed by the chewed/scratched corners (see pictures). Still waiting for the third order and hoping to find it in a better shape.Amazon: please handle your books with greater care, especially when they are hard-cover visual books!Owen Davey is a master of the reduction to the essential. It is a pleasure to look at and read about animals and suddenly realize that they are constructed from clean geometric shapes. The information provided is clear and basic and answers all the first questions that pop into one's head when learning about animals – good for children and (visually oriented) adults!
