Ware Manufacturing(2 Packages) CWM12003 Corrugated Replacement Scratcher Pads Double Wide - 2 Pads per Package

I've purchased these before and have not had any issues. This time I bought 2 packages (2 scratchers per package) to stock up and to get a better deal (I can't always find this type of product refill in our local pet store). Unfortunately, I didn't need them immediately and opened them up after they were unable to be returned. As soon as I removed it from the plastic packaging/overwrap, I was assaulted with a horrific smell which most closely resembles the smell of feces. It is so strong that I had to take them out of my house and into the garage to try to air them out. They've been out there for over 8 hours and the odor is still so strong you can smell it as soon as you open the door. We're attempting to use pet friendly odor eliminator on them in hopes of salvaging them. If we can't get the smell out, they'll all have to go in the trash. I don't know if it was a "bad batch" or what. I got online to look at other reviews and only found two so far that commented on the smell. Good product, but I can't give it more than 1 star given the fact that it will more than likely need to be thrown away.

Boo my cat LOVES these. He is declawed in the front. So these are gentle for him when he needs to scratch his front paws. He also lays on these for comfort and sleep. These are his couch of comfort. He loves cardboard in general. Egg cartons are his next favorite thing in cardboard (great chin scratcher)Boo is a big boy, he is a Flame Point Siamese. 20 lbs about 3 ft from head to tail. So, these cardboard replacers are pretty strong and last quit a while. If they can hold up to him laying on, loving them and having a sister who has all her claws go to town on them you know its a good product. Rosie (Boo's sister) sneaks in a few good rounds on them here and there when Boo is not around .

I've been looking for replacement scratcher pads for a Kong wood-framed scratcher that I bought a few years ago. Nothing I bought fit just right, not even the Kong brand. These fit perfect. So happy to have a finally found a great fit. Will be purchasing more of them.

My whole apartment smells toxic after unwrapping these. I won't be buying these again.

I had some of these in tilted holders which the cats regularly used but when cleaning out the closet one was flat on the floor and the cats loved it not only scratching but sitting on it. They are a bit messy outside of a "frame" that can cat the scratch offs but I now have flat on the floor for them.

They refill a little box thing I have. It's simple and my cats love it better than any of the fancy expensive stuff.

These are really big and allow my cats plenty of space for scratching. Either my cats don’t use them as much or they are much sturdier than other brands I bought as these don’t make as much of a mess as others. Either way we all seem happy.

I have a rectangular box made by Kong that these cardboard refills fit. My cats don't ever pass by without giving it a good scratch. I rotate the box and then flip over the cardboard to let the bottom side get a good scratching before recycling it.

Advertised as 2 double wide scratcher and received single wide and had to send it back for a refund.
