It will do fine. Opening it will allow bacteria and or spores in and they will thrive in the growth medium that the plant is in. **Q: I recieved my mini orchid today and it does have a bunch of condensation, will this eventually go away? It's very pretty tho from what I can see!** A: I'm not sure if it will go away and if it's there you will most likely have the same problem as me....a big mold growing on the medium. **Q: Do you have any other plants I can buy? I kind of love this** A: I currently have this, Venus flytrap and sundew.
