A Must Have for Dental Health - Plus It Feels Good!
I have used Sulcabrush for years (this purchase was for my sister) and am sold on it. When used correctly (YouTube videos) and with floss, my teeth feel as clean as after having them cleaned by a hygienist. I'm addicted to the feeling. Plus, I have gone from needing to have my teeth cleaned every 6 months to only once a year - even then, they need very little cleaning, and it is more for a check up. My previous dentist was the one who gave me a Sulcabrush then I moved and told my new dentist and hygienist about it because they were so impressed with my teeth and gums. Now they, too, are converts.I use the Sulcabrush in the evenings - usually while watching TV. It has a brush angled for use on the gum side of teeth and a different one angled for the tongue side. The brush is designed to use along the gums (sulcus) and between the teeth. A regular toothbrush is for the flat surfaces. I have found the Sulcabrush to be superior to other tools intended for the same/similar purpose. I thoroughly rinse the Sulcabrush after each use and soak each end in mouthwash or denture cleaner every few days. Occasionally I need to remove the brushes (unscrew) and clean them and the handle separately. Replacement brushes (Sulcabrush Replacement Tips) are available.

Squeaky-clean teeth
I have a lot of gum recession on my molars due to severe bruxism (grinding) and until I deal with getting dozens of gum grafts, I am left with a lot of exposed roots that are impossible to clean as they naturally don't have enamel and I am obsessed with having super-clean teeth. The Sulcabrush cleans my exposed roots that have a rough texture and are impossible to get squeaky clean with even an electric toothbrush as anything you eat just clings to them, per my hygienist (who had never heard of this brush, btw). Who knows if I am causing more recession, but my teeth feel cleaner and that is my goal as my recession is a lost cause at this point. For the record, I do not have gum disease in the typical sense so I cannot comment on that as my gums are otherwise healthy. I do wish the handle were thicker as I have some dexterity problems and pain in my fingers and it's rather hard for me to hold the brush for long (and at awkward angles), but I'm sure it's fine for most people once you get the hang of it.

Does A Terrific Job
I have never been a fan of flossing, always struck me as a messy job involving "icky fingers". A few years ago I received my first Sulcabrush gratis from my dentist, & it opened a new world! Rather than deal with the ick factor wrapping floss around my teeth, (& I've tried the waxed, non-waxed, flavored) this Sulcabrush is simple & basically "ick-less". The tiny bristle brush ends do a marvelous job cleaning away the tartar from teeth @ the gum line, and the pointed brush tufts easily reach the area between teeth. This brush makes a once-dreaded end-of-day job into an easier task. One brush end's marked "inside" for inside teeth, the other's marked "outside", angled for outside areas. Couldn't be simpler. When not in use I park my brush on one of those little character eyeglass rests you find in stores, that way the brush ends air- dry & it's handy.Unfortunately I have yet to find a retail store that sells these brushes, thank God for Amazon.com! Shipping was quick & the cost reasonable.

Use before brushing
This works better than flossing because my teeth are so close flossing is very hard to do. This brush works great to keep my gums healthy.

Not the best bristles I've tried
I didn't like the bristles, they are stiff, they are not dense. I prefer Curaprox Single, more expensive but the bristles are much better, softer, dense and good at cleaning. I think it's better to use this brush than none at all for the important and often neglected area if it doesn't irritate your gums.

This sulcabrush should help to remove plaque
I recently read some informative articles about the benefits of using a sulcabrush and only regret that I wasn't more familiar with it years ago. I probably wouldn't have the dental issues (plaque, deep gum pockets) I'm dealing with now. I go to the dentist every 3 months for maintenance. Although I brush and floss regularly and there's been some improvement, I still have some deep gum pockets. I have just begun using the sulcabrush and it takes a little getting used to. But I'm excited that now with the sulcabrush, it's easier to reach my top and bottom gums in the very back of my mouth, as well as in between my gums (way better than the floss)! Hopefully, I'll have a more positive report at my next appointment.

My dental cleanings are so much better!
I've been using these brushes for years around my gum line. My preference is to dip the brush in mouthwash as I brush each quadrant of my mouth. Boy what a difference it makes, my dentist is very happy as am I. It reduces tartar buildup along the gum line, my gums don't bleed during cleanings and my gums are not receding. I stopped for a few months, don't ask why, and my next cleaning was a disaster. Highly recommend this item, it's helping me keep my teeth. I use this with a vibrating type electric toothbrush and aggressive flossing. It isn't a replacemental for those.

Perfect for tight teeth and hard-to-reach spots
My teeth are very close together, to the point that even extra thin dental tape is prone to breakage and getting stuck. This makes regular flossing a nightmare. This sulcabrush makes such an amazing difference. I can get that fresh flossed clean feeling without spending half an hour picking the floss out of my teeth, and it is great for stains, too. If you have remaining wisdom teeth or other hard-to-brush spots, the dual angled heads will give you the perfect orientation to get your mouth perfectly clean. Once you get started it can be a little addictive. It just feels plain great to use this product once you get used to it.I will warn you that they bristles tend toward medium. If you, like me, use soft toothbrushes (as I've been told everyone should), just break in new sulcabrush heads with your thumb before first use. Then take the first few brushes slow and easy until your gums get used to the new head. In general, never apply much force when brushing near the gums.
