The title of the book catches your attention right away. So does the elephant behind on the front (and yes, when you flip the book over, the front of the elephant is there as well.) I bought this book for a college professor who had (and no kidding here) given us a short lecture about farts and how/why we produce them. So after his lecture, I though of this book (which I had seen in a store before) and decided that I had to get it for him. Did he enjoy it? Yes...he loved it a lot. He says it is a good children's book as well as a basic scientific explanation as to why we (ahem) pass gas.The pictures are wonderfully drawn and the story line is simple, but very scientific. I highly recommend purchasing this book, whether it is for a child, a gift, or (as in my case) a practical joke gift!

Years ago I was looking for a book for my young nieces and came across "The Gas We Pass". Laughed my fool head off. Didn't buy it, though. Thought it might be too crass. Well, every time I went by that store I had to go in and read it again, and each time I did, I laughed out loud. Finally, I decided, oh poo, I'll get the book and let the chips fall where they may. Brought it home and my husband thought it was too vulger (?) and didn't think it was appropriate - so I didn't give it to the girls. After a while I decided poo on him and I gave it to them. They and their mother howled - they thought it was hilarious! So there! Dad wasn't as pleased. So, that being said, great read for kids and moms - dads, not so much. Go figure!

A bit discolored but not to much of an issue.

Bought this book for a friend's daughter who turned 10 this July. I thought this book would be a perfect gag gift that's actually somewhat useful. I was torn between buying this or "Everybody Poops" but thought this was more appropriate.The book is hilarious and definitely something a preschooler or kindergartner could read with their parents. There is some innocent drawn nudity (boy bathing with his dad) so if you're wary about that, I'd suggest buying something else. But honestly, it's like a kid's drawing and you could tell it's not intended to offend. Just a forewarning for those worried about things like that.

All about the natrual body function wrapped in a cute book

I remember this book as a kid and love reading it to my little one.

My son is now 16 yet I’ve kept this book as it was one of his favorites. He used to crack up laughing at the boy in the bath passing gas and making bubbles.

A great book that talks to kids about the importance of passing gas, and all the why's and how's it happens. With a bit of a science add in. Even my husband liked this book :)

The fun my husband had with this book! I bought it for the baby but my husband has been delighting over it and sending pictures of various pages to his pals. It’s probably not that accurate, but it’s amused us!
