This appears to work fine in that capacity
This was purchased to replace a 12V/5A power supply (the cheap one I had purchased earlier with that rating didn't put out 5A). This appears to work fine in that capacity, but I haven't measured the actual amperage output. It does run a bit warm but it's not too hot to touch.

I am using this to feed 6 external hard dives as I hate having to use 2 power strips just for the wall transformers. This paired with an octopus splitter works wonders!

Didn't think I'd ever order one of these, but glad I finally did. Very helpful for grooming especially while traveling.

I would give ‘0’ starts if I could. Absolute junk. Used it once, barely got the job half done. Didn’t turn on since then. Tried chbgaing the batteries, no results.Save your money and stay away from this product. Do not recommend
