Luminox Men Leatherback Sea Turtle Quartz Watch

This is a very light weight (1.66 ozs), authentic, very comfortable (best Nato strap ever), easy reader. It gained 11 seconds in a month (Swiss Rhonda 515 caliber). Time standard is an "atomic" Casio 5610 (Multiband 6). Usually I have found analogue watches to not be the timekeeper LCD watches generally are. An exception is a 1996 Hamilton Khaki with the Swiss ETA 955.112 (7 jewels), which is within a second over the same time period. Perhaps the Rhonda movement is more rugged. The wide strap with the metal loops is easy to tie to one's wrist. The green face of the watch is perfect (not intrusive, but easily read). Bezel works well and is not to tight (making clogging less likely in the field), and tritium lume is the best. I like the lume on every other hour as it easier for me to read in darkness. Like almost all analogue quartz watches with a "seconds" hand, it doesn't hit the marks perfectly. With my aging eyes, this is my "if you only could have one" choice.As to suggested improvements: solar power, "atomic" daily time correction, and an easily read digital seconds display, and another 100 meters of water resistance, would make this the perfect watch. You might have to pay another $100 for those additions, but it would still be a bargain at that price. I highly recommend this watch as is. One of the best executed combinations of features found anywhere.

I simply don't take this watch off. When I go to sleep at night, at work, going for a swim, working out, camping, whatever. It stays on.Looks good, lightweight and strap is so comfortable you forget it's even on your wrist most of the time. If you wake up in the middle of the night somewhere where it's pitch black - you'll know what time it is.Picture is after about 4 months of continuous wear - it's literally been off my wrist for maybe a week of that time total. I have a tanline under it.Looks brand new and strap has no signs of wear. Very durable.I thought it was cheap and crappy when I got it. Now I just always know what time it is and I don't have to charge it like a phone or smartwatch.

I’m not a watch snob. Spending a lot of money on jewelry is dumb to me. That said I been searching for something I can read at night that actually works and luminox always caught my eye. The trouble was, that Diver watches are ugly, In my opinion , and useless to me. Then I found this watch which finally got me to pull the trigger. Based on its internals this watch is grossly overpriced, but I’m assuming I’m paying for the tritium…. Not only is it a light watch with a great strap retention system, but the watch is easy to read during the day and night. Thanks to the tritium tubes I can always be sure (for the next 20 years or so) that I can catch the time at night. I don’t sleep with my phone like GENPOP so it’s nice if I wake up in a confused haze, to look at my watch and understand the time.Comes in a neat box, keeps time well. Again the movement and internal are quite cheap for a watch with this price tag but it’s perfectly fine. The tritium is not as bright as I thought it would be but still easy to see.

I bought this watch because of the luminous dial that was proposed in the advertisements. This a very nice watch. The nylon strap is good; the watch dial face is very readable during the day and the weight of the watch is great; you hardly notice you are wearing it. The watch crystal looks, to me at least, real classy. It is not an ostentatious watch piece for the price I paid and the only remarks I have received are, "nice watch", "new watch?". But I did not buy it for showing it off. I got it because I thought that the luminous dial would display well when the light would be dim. It does, but only if it pitch black. At dawn, dusk, or if you are watching TV, you can barely see the glow. BUT, if its pitch black, you are able to see the markings with the colors indicated. I am not sure if things with the luminous markings will get better or I have to subject it to sunlight to charge those luminous markings. The instructions do not say anything other than that the luminous markings will last close to 25 years. I did notice, however, that if I shine an LED flashlight on the watch face dial for a couple of minutes, the watch markings will glow tremendous. And the glow will last for a while. This leads me to believe that perhaps there is a defect with the luminous markings. I am a little disappointed.

Very accurate and a good looking watch. Comes in a very sturdy case as well. Very satisfied with purchase.

At first this watch seems cheap - very, very light which contrasts to the normal diver watches I usually wear. But recently I was exploring some bar islands on the Maine coast, during low tide, we misjudged the current coming in between islands when returning to the car. An adventure. Anyway - I got caught in one wading between islands that was chest high and pulled me off balance, I got back to shallower water where I was stumbling on seaweed and fell with the watch a couple of times on slippery rocks. The watch was put through it's paces and spent most of the time submerged on the hike back and surprisingly not one scratch on it.So my point is it was tougher than I expected and while I wasn't diving - it held up as if nothing happened... better than my knee and hands could say. We have another jaunt planned during the full moon August 2nd and I'm sure it will hold up well. And we'll time the tide a bit better!

I just go this watch minutes ago. It’s a really nice looking watch. I love the green face and the black nylon strap. However the bezel is plasticity and a little loose. I would not have paid this price if I could have held the watch first. It is very lightweight and that’s because of the plastic everything. I don’t think I will be using this for my camping/outdoor stuff. I expect this will break soon. I recommend Citizen watches if you want a watch that looks like this but is very durable and metal.
