Is the connecting bracket metal?

No it is not. Both the hose and complete mounting bracket including the ball are very cheap plastic and not the stainless and brass as detailed in the description. These people are crooks.

How do you remove the flow restrictor?

Unscrew the shower head and remove the plastic flow restrictor disc with a dental pick or similar tool. Don't lose the rubber washer.

What is the GPM of this shower head?

It’s a 10 setting shower head . Works great , perfect pressure and easy to install ! You turn the face part of the detachable head to get the pressure you like and enjoy the best shower you will ever have . Had mine for a few months worth every penny .

At each end of the hose there are red plastic pieces that prevent me from attaching the hose to the mount and the shower head. How do I remove them?

My shower head had white ones on each end of the hose if I remember correctly I just pulled them off n it wasn’t easy for me since I don’t have a man to help with stuff like this but I managed to do it n for the record I did it all by myself n I’m not very young either so you can do it yourself n it may take you a few minutes but you can do it just maybe turn the hose around the other way n see what happens n it might work better other than that I’m not sure best of luck to you maybe go over your instructions again n see what it shows about the hose n please let me know what you did I’m curious to know if you got your shower head put up right
