Errors!
This book was required for my class and we've already made the recommendation to not use it again in the future. It's too wordy and several of the diagrams we've looked at have errors. There are references in the text to figures that don't exist.

Very dense
The textbook has some really nice figures although the text itself is very dry and dense. It's sometimes a little verbose although I do like that it talks about the function of anatomical structures. I know there's a lot of information to put in a single textbook, but I think it could be organized better.

Comparative anatomy
Excellent book for comparative veterinary anatomy - easy to read and includes important facts and tips throughout. This edition includes a (small) section on camelids, which makes it fairly comprehensive for those pursuing mixed veterinary practice.
