Compared to RaceFace Chesters...
I think most people buy these as an alternative to the RaceFace Chesters. Honestly, I wish I would have bought the latter. Don't get me wrong, these are actually decent. Quality-wise, they seem very close, if not as good. However, where they don't compare very well is in terms of grip. I've attached a couple pics showing both brands of pedals side-by-side. As you can see, the RaceFace studs are about 1/16" longer. This doesn't sound like much, but it is. When wearing flats, the difference isn't all that noticeable. However, throw on any shoe with tread, and the RaceFace Chester trounces the Bonmixc pedals.Overall, I would not buy again, but I don't dislike them enough to return.UPDATE: FROM 3 STARS TO 5. After I left the review above, I was contacted by Bonmixc directly. They apologized and asked what they could do to make the product perfect. Furthermore, they indicated they've received other feedback indicating the studs were already too long. In other words, they were stuck between people like me saying they're too short, and others saying they're too long. Basically they were asking if there was anything they could do to make everyone happy. I told them the only thing I could think of would be to include two sets of studs. Then...get this...about 5 hours later, I received a message saying they would do just that AND a picture of the product with both size screws installed!! Kind of unbelievable. Finally, they offered to send me a new set of longer studs. Honestly, it might be the best interaction I've ever had with a manufacturer/seller directly.I considered waiting until I received them to update my review. However, I also thought they had already gone above and beyond customer-service wise, so there was really no need to wait.***My Rating Criteria***5 Stars: Works exactly as advertised, fit/finish are what you'd expect when purchasing this type of product, good value, ships in retail packaging4 Stars: Works exactly as advertised, fit/finish are what you'd expect when purchasing this type of product, might have a minor flaw or ships in undisclosed non-retail packaging3 Stars: Generally works but I'd change a few things OR Product works great but differs from description/images2 Stars: Barely works but can be made useful if you try1 Star: Useless, does not perform it's intended function whatsoever and is generally a waste of money

A good pedal, with a caveat...
I installed these on my project monster cross bike, and whilst I liked them, overall, the studs are too thin, too sharp on the edges, and they began to tear into the softer part of the dual compound sole on the shoes I wear on the trails. A harder compound sole would probably be fine, but rather than buy new shoes, I bought different pedals with less aggressive studs. Overall, the quality of these is good to very good. I liked the comfort, the fit, the overall build quality, but those sharp studs moved them to my spares box. I understand they're making some changes to the supplied studs, so perhaps this will be something that ends up sorted. If I do end up putting them on another bike, I'll probably either remove the studs, or will at least polish their edges down to a more rounded profile.

Great value
I purchased my new mountain bike at a bike shop, and expensive bikes usually don't come with pedals. The bike shop salesman tried to sell me $70 metal pedals because he said that plastic pedals won't hold up to trail riding.I decided to skip the metal pedals and gave these plastic ones from Amazon a shot. They have the protruding metal spikes/screws that help keep your feet planted. The price is what drew me in. I also liked the color options.I got the "green" pedals to try to match my bike. The color on the Amazon page seemed to be an exact match to the shade of green on my bike. As you can see in my picture, these pedals are more yellow than green. It's not really what I was hoping for, but it's fine with me because my bike's color is somewhere in between green and yellow. It's hard to really get a grasp of color on your phone, due to natural screen variations. These plastic pedals feel solid, heavy and well made. I took the bike out for a couple of trail rides and scraped the pedals against several rocks and roots (It is a very rugged trail and admittedly, I'm not the best rider). They held up just fine. The grip is good, although my left foot came off once and I smashed my shin with the pedal. I recommend you wear some sort of shin protection, because the metal spikes did draw blood. But that's my own fault. The spikes did what you would expect spikes to do.Even if the pedals don't last as long as the metal ones, the price is so good that I can replace them twice and still be ahead. I am very happy with this purchase. If you read this review in the future and want an update to see how they are holding up, send me a message or post a comment. I'll reply if I can.

Great and cheap!!!
Awsome! I was riding spd's but was doing a lot of dirt jumping in the park and single track riding in the hills when I got my full suspention and decided to go with these so if I needed to bail while in the air I could. Instead of the other option. (Crashing and eating $#it...) I am really surprised on how well they work. My feet dont slip in mud or dirt or rain or nothing. Granted I wear 510 freerides when I do said activities. And they are great shoes by the way. They are super sticky to almost anything. But its kinda hard to even tell the difference between these pedals and the spd's. Just dont try and pull up when your going up a hill and your feet will stay planted. I have been using them everyday for two months now. I have used them in the rain and mud a few diffrent times and not once have they budged an inch. I have been riding bikes for over 20 years as a adult. 10 years of that time I was a professional bike messenger in s.f. California and have trashed tons of bikes and diffrent components in that time. So far these are by far one of the best investments I have paid for. Plus they are cheap as hell.I will say this. Could they spin smoother. Probably. Could they look better? Yea. But for about 20 bucks you get kick ass set og pedels that do there job and so far are tough as hell. Its a no brainer. If your looking for good set of pedels that are by far cheaper then the big named brand but work just a good. Buy these.
