Behringer Super Octaver So400 Ultimate Octaver Effects Pedal

Great addition in adding some rumble to the bass. Works good on a piano as well. Gives that bottom end in the mix when needed.

No. 1, It is in a plastic casing. A stomp box made with cheap plastic. Give me a break! No. 2, Put a nine volt battery in it and tried it out. Hmm... no sound whatsoever. Bottom line: It did not work either. Sent it back for a refund. Guess I'll pay the extra and get a Boss pedal. I know those are durable.

A decent octave pedal (especially for the price), but I bought it to use with guitar in order to simulate bass guitar on recordings and found it somewhat frustrating to use. Works OK on most low notes, but once you get really low some distortion occurs. Then when you hit higher notes it becomes even less reliable, as you either get distortion or an entirely different note altogether. On the plus side, it does add an interesting effect to guitar soloing. That said, I ended up sending it back.

Alright, first off I am a fan of behringer and own some of their products. This one however is really bad. It glitches even when doing slow single note picking and polyphonic mode is an utter disaster. I find it to be totally unuseable. It's a shame because their delay pedals are good and their vibrato is brilliant. This pedals sucks though.

It's a bit of a curiosity that so many musicians review Behringer pedals favorably but always say how they've read bad reviews but never had that 'bad' experience with their purchase. My Behringer SO400 pedal has worked as well as any octaver padel I've tried. I'm actually amazed at how genuine the bass sound is. I use it with a looper pedal to add bass to my loops during live performances, it adds a completely believable bass sound to my loops. Since I own a nice Fender Jaguar Bass I wouldn't use this for recording, but for what I purchase it for, it's perfect.

I love the versitility of this pedal. Sound is awesome! Love how you can set the low strings for octave and leave the high strings normal. Also love the way you can mix 2 octaves.

Quieter than I expected and quite versatile. I wish it had an option for a higher octave but none of them I looked at had that option. No reason to spend hundreds when this does the job well.

Did not track well - especially in te lower registers. I was careful to send a solid, clear single note signal directly to the unit and all I got was warble. I bought the Boss OC-3 instead. It tracks well and gives a big, fat second octave in poly mode.

Pour le prix, c'est un bon octaveur. En son clean, ça le fait très bien, un bon équilibrage du son (limite EQ accoustique) de l'octave supérieur. L'octave secondaire, c'est parfois too much quand même mais cela ressemble à une basse quand même : ce n'est pas trop synthétique contrairement à d'autres octaveurs. L'option drive de la pédale, j'aime pas du tout. C'est tout simplement un drive ni tranchant, si chaud ... très synthétique. Je n'ai pas réussi pour l'intant à l'octaveur correctement avec une wha (Vox 847), une overdrive (Biyang X-drive) ou une disto (Marshall GuvNor II) sur mon ampli VOX AC30VR. Avant ou après les pédales, je ne suis pas convaincu de l'apport de l'octaveur. J'attends de recevoir ma Fuzz (Biyang FZ-10) qui me permettra peut-etre de l'exploiter autrement cette pédale quand clean. Mais c'est quand même une très bonne pédale en clean et l'avantage de pouvoir bien doser ses octaves, ça le fait très bien. Je n'ai pas mis "j'adore" car pour l'instant, je n'ai pas réussi à être convaincu en la mélangeant avec des saturations : peut-etre dû à son "son très accoustique" qui est plus difficille à mélanger proprement avec une saturation.

Das Gerät ist recht vielseitig,unter anderem durch den Driveschalter. Es entspricht der Beschreibung, zeigt aber doch ein paar Nebengeräusche , die ich bisher noch nicht vermeiden kann.

Bought this as I was given a gift token for my birthday. My guitar amp comes with most common effects so I chose this as it was different. I was pleasently surprised as it was really good and quite usefull. You can use it as is with the effect on all strings or with the polly setting, just on the strings you want it to effect so you can use it to give the effect of a bass guitar playing with you. There is also a distortion setting as well and you can adjust all these settings to the amount you wish. The controls feel very well made and although the case is plastic it seems quite sturdy.
