Worth the price. Easy to install. Fits perfect. Fast delivery
I cant undo my previous comment of “it didn't fit” but as always, I didn't bother to look for instructions so my bad. I found the instructions in the pack it came in and it was easy. They fit snug, one support can actually hold the rear hatch open so that was a good sign all around.I was hoping they would help soften the close as much as they help it open. My lift gate still feels like it “slams” closed and I feel like I have to hold it to a close rather then just shutting it but probably less then when the OEM lift supports were on. I have a BAJA roof rack with the ladder. I saw some other posts on here that said they lost some guff after a while. I will update if anything changes I use the lift gate daily. With all of that said, the price is right. I can buy about 10 pairs of these to one pair from Toyota so I don’t have a real issue changing these out in 2 to 3 years -

Great with a ladder
These struts have the extra power to lift with a tailgate ladder. They are very powerful and the tailgate doesn't sag, but it is still easy to close.

Heavy duty liftgate struts 4Runner
So honestly this product had really no negative problems, they fit really well on the 4Runner, 2018 TRD Off-road, and had the oem style mounting. I currently have a Gobi Ladder attached to the tailgate and was having issues with the oem struts and these fixed the drooping and accessibility to open for a wider range of people, performance wise I’ve been using it for 2 weeks now and they work amazing, the tailgate is way easier to open now, and at a price point they are a good deal for a quality product.

Great customer service
Excellent product. Supports Gobi brand ladder well and no assistance is needed to raise the liftgate. Unfortunately a shock went out on me about 8 months after purchase. However, customer service handled the issue well and shipped me a new one quickly, no questions asked.

Works ok
I am sure depending on how much you have on your hatch door, or what environment in your they would be good year round. For me works great in the summer months but these Alaska winters not so much. Can’t complain not to much does well in -20 F.

Strong and Easy!
Strong and easy to install. My hatch was drooping after I installed a Victory 4x4 molle panel and a number of necessary items. These struts fixed the problem without making the liftgate any harder to close than it was from the factory. I was able to install them by myself without the aide of a ladder.

Two sets failed in less than 12 months.
Failed horribly. Twice. Once I could accept as a minor QC oversight. Twice? Not so much.I have both the set supposedly designed for a ladder, and a set supposedly designed for a ladder + rotopax. Both have failed in less than a year. The rotopax was on the hatch at most 4 days. They were awesome when I lost clips, but the response to my warranty question was “we’re out of stock”.Would not buy again, they’re unreliable and when they fail the danger is significant. The 4Runner hatch weighs a lot.Look somewhere else.

works just fine
easy replacement on the hatch lift gate when you have a widdle ladder with garbage bag attached .

Fits perfect!
I found it to lift my tailgate, easier with a gas can on the ladder.

Awesome
Great power, lifts the rear gate higher and quicker than the stock units. Install was simple and instructions were very good.

Both failed during their second winter
On my 2013 4Runner, struts didn't extend as high as the stock ones. And both entirely failed without warning during only their second winter. I can't recommend them.
