ATTENTION: It has been released that 6.0L Ford Powerstroke injector failure can be due to LOW fuel pressure. THIS IS THE FIX FORD HAS BEEN LOOKING FOR. SAVE ON COSTLY REPAIR BILLS, GAIN MPG AND UP TO A 20HP GAIN!! The stock fuel pressure spring runs about 50-55psi on a 6.0L and 60-80psi on a 7.3L at idle give or take some depending how long it has been run and the condition of the pump. Fuel pressure can add both power, drivability and fuel mileage. This is also a must when chips, tuners and larger injectors have been added. nstallation is simple and requires no special tools (except for a T-27 torque bit). You simply remove the pump cover pieces and then remove the T-27 torque screws (Four on the 6.0L and Two on the 7.3L) on the drivers side of the pump. Carefully separate the line from the pump and remove the spring (careful not to lose or damage the o-ring seal). Install the new spring making sure it seats properly and put it back together. It is very important to make sure the o-ring stays in its proper place. This fix will permanently optimize fuel pressure the right way and prevent the need for trying to achieve the same results by using potentially damaging and leak-causing shimming of the weak stock spring.

Easiest Upgrade On The Truck
If you’re buying this, chances are you know your way around a Powerstroke engine. If not, don’t worry! This was by far the simplest upgrade I’ve installed on the truck, it took about 20-30 minutes taking my time going about it, the hardest part is getting the torx bit into the screws on the spring housing, and even that wasn’t too much of a challenge at all. Noticeable HP & Torque gain, along with +2-5 MPG on a stock tune. However, if you throw your foot to the floor, keep in mind she’s gonna be drinking more than versus with a stock spring, but you trade the fuel economy for the boost in power. 100% worth it in my opinion, especially for the price.

Must have
I did not have high expectations when installing, but I would consider this a must have for any 7.3 Powerstroke. I noticed better throttle response, and less engine noise right off the bat. Well worth the $25 and 15 minutes it took to install.

Exactly what I was looking for!
So let me just start by saying these guys are awesome! I had an issue with the shipping, got lost by the carrier, not the seller. Without hesitation they put another one in the mail that day.. Couple of days later I received the spring. I was averaging 42 psi of fuel pressure at idle, 35 under load before replacing the spring. Now I'm averaging 60 psi at idle and 52 under load. Those numbers are post filtration with a new filter installed. I still need to change the screens on the pickup tube in the tank and I'm sure the numbers will go up some more. I forgot to take a side by side pic before I installed the new spring (was excited) but the difference is crazy!! I was a little skeptical going in, but I'm definitely a believer. Because of their customer service, these guys have a customer for life! Thanks! FYI it's an 03 7.3l with 315,000mi on it. Stock injectors. With a mild tune. I had looked into the billet cap and spring kits that are out there, but have no need for new cap. So this was perfect for me.. Took less than 5 min to change. Thanks again!
