I was initially worried about these as I would be installing them in a shear condition as opposed to compression. But once they were received I found the bushing material was dense and quite strong. Thus I used them as the mounting points for my main garage lift motor before it connects to the ceiling braces. This motor is directly below my daughters bedroom and is occasionally opened and closed late at night or early in the morning. I used the mounts to reduce the noise and vibration which transmits through the ceiling and these worked PERFECT! I did however opt to purchase nuts with nylon inserts to lock the mounting hardware in place once installed as the hardware included does not have these. These were much cheaper in cost (not quality) than those sold exclusively for garage door lift motor applications.

They do fit my Mitsubishi Split Air
The rubber vibration pad mounts that came with my split air stand (wall mount) were garbage. When you would start up the unit, it was almost completely silent outside, but inside the compressor sound was irritatingly loud for a bedroom. I bought these and replaced the rubber mounts that were on there, and the sound was almost completely gone. After about 3 months the pads have compressed a bit, and the sound is a bit louder but manageable. As a side note my other split air was completely silent-but it came with isolation mounts as standard equipment. These have not compressed in the three years I have owned it.

Better
Installed these on both of my garage door motor mounts. Measured the decibel level before and after and not much difference. But, did seem to reduce the vibration on the floor above the garage doors. Eventually replaced the steel wheels with the vinyl ones and that helped with vibration too. Still not as quiet but doesn’t shake my bed and wake me up like it used to.

Completely Dampen Vibrations Caused By Ceiling Fan
I used these mounts to completely dampen the considerable vibrations transferred from a fan I mounted (see photo) in my basement through the floor joists, up into my kitchen. The vibration was enough to rattle things sitting on top of my microwave. All quiet now!

Reduce noise in minisplit heat pump
Used on Mitsubishi mini split heat pump attached to garage using a wall mount. Mini split vibrated through studs with a low rumbling noise that was rather loud inside. After replacing the standard rubber pads with these mounts the vibration sounds through the wall was virtually eliminated. Will see how they do over time outside.

ISOLATOR MOUNT
Used two of these to mount lawn mower aux air cleaner highFar too springy for that applicationA harder durometer would have served better. That should not take away from the overall veracity of this productI rated a 4 rather than 5 for the seller failing to specify the durometer

Worked Like a Charm
I had a motor mounted on a steel frame with an electrical breaker box, and the box rattled something fierce when the motor was running. There were even shock pads beneath the motor, but the bolts ran all the way through the pads and were transferring vibration from the motor to the electrical box, causing the rattle. When I installed these isolator mounts the rattle completely stopped and the motor went back to a gentle hum. Installation took about 10 minutes with a small combination wrench. The nuts and washers came with the mounts. The studs on the mounts were 8 mm, which is almost exactly 5/16", which was the size of the bolts I replaced. Overall, I was amazed at the difference it made by getting an isolator mount that did NOT have a through stud.

Works great to reduce vibrations above garage
Ended up installing two on each side using a piece metal with holes in it and works great (I did end getting some lock washers as well). At first I did one on each side and it sagged a bit so went to two concerned it might give up. A week after installing two on each side there was a 5.7 earthquake about 50 miles away (rattled the house pretty good) and it hasn't budged. I would agree with some reviews that in the garage there is little noise reduction. However in my kids room above the garage it's a world of difference. I got these cause I kept waking up my kids in the mornings, but no more. They did the job nicely.
