Hanks Leather Buckleless Belt - USA Made No Scratch Work Hook Belt

Bought this belt for my nephew who has a metal allergy. He carries most of his extra weight in his gut and he was getting a rash from the metal in his belt buckle. I came across this belt and we took his measurements. I read all the reviews, and I ordered 2 sizes up, ordering a 44. The belt arrived quickly and is nice quality. My nephew was a little bummed they didn’t have black in his size. When he tried the belt on he found that there is about 2”’of exposed Velcro. I wanted to return the belt and order a 46 (which would be 3 sizes up) but he wanted to keep it because he really needs a belt for an upcoming National History Day competition, he wants to look nice. I offered to order him another in a 46 and he said he’ll be ok with the 44. My husband really liked the belt and I ordered him one. I will leave a separate review for his belt.

My waist size for Levi’s 505 jeans is 36. I understood this to correlate to a size 38 belt. Velcro on a size 38 only overlapped about halfway onto the loop area of the belt. I would rather have the hooks overlap onto the loops all the way; even a little beyond the loops, so I returned the 38 and order a size 40. I could tell this belt is going to be very comfortable and secure, once I find the proper size. I was disappointed to have to return the first one and wait for a second. I believe it will be worth the wait — and Amazon return policy is outstanding, with quick and easy return procedure.

Having gained a pound or two too many, most belt buckles dig into my stomach causing pain and discomfort. I've had a few of these buckle less belts, but this one by Hanks is by far much better than most other brands I've tried. The key is to buy one four sizes larger than you normally wear. That way there is more of the Velcro to attach to prevent it from slipping. If you normally wear a 42 belt, buy a 46.

Was looking quite a while for a belt for a male family member who suffers from arthritis in their hands, making it difficult to use regular belts with hook closures. Bought this Velcro belt on a lark, hoping it would at least get used once a month, however they love it! The belt looks smart and does well with their active life (standing, sitting, bending over, etc), and is very easy and painless to put on and take off. Will definitely buy a few more so they have back-up belts and in other colors, as this belt it part of their everyday outfit.

I have a friend with a neurological disorder which makes buttoning buttons or adjusting a regular belt very difficult. The Hanks Leather Buckleless Belt is perfect for him. He can adjust the belt very easily using the velcro closure. The belt would also work well for a person with severe arthritis who has dexterity issues. In fact, it would be nice if a 1-inch version of the belt in thinner leather could be made available so it could be used with dress slacks. I am very happy with the purchase.

I drive a lot and I am so tired of that "spot" that gets worn into me with belt buckles. This belt is very comfortable, stylish enough to not be noticed or regarded oddly, and provides the support I need to keep my pants where they belong. All in all, 5 Stars without a doubt! Only had it for a short time, but the quality is impeccable. I saw a lot of cheaper ones, but I believe in buying once and paying a fair price for a durable product than buying something cheap many times! Thank you Hanks!

Belt appears well built and works perfectly. I bought it because the buckle on my other belt was digging into my gut. This one is great for the belly. Hook and loop stays secure. I will update if the durability is not good long term but my initial impression is that it looks like a high quality piece. I would order it a bit larger than your pants size. I wear a 40". I ordered a 42". Works fine but maybe would have preferred a 44". Also, MADE IN THE USA!!!!!!!

First off, I put clothing and footwear through its paces. I work heavy construction and I carry ccw when I’m not working. My pants, belt, boots and other items go on at 5 am and come off at 10pm. I was excited about this belt due to its versatility and construction. I can see some upcoming issues with threading it through the loops of my jeans and the hook and loop coming loose. Other than the “normal wear and tear” I’d say a normal everyday Joe with a 9-5 should get a good 5 years out of this belt. I’m expecting about 1-3 years, which for the price is decent and reasonable for me. In my humble opinion, glue the hook and loop, then stitch it, that would grant 5 stars from me.
