Bought aboutt 5 month ago for my 12 year old and only 2 gears work and the brakes barley work. Do not waste your money!

Bought it once...first week chain broke.Returned that one...Bought it again...within 3 weeks one of the pedals broke.No good.

Can't pedal bicycle when turning.Pedal just came off possibly stripping female threads.

I had difficulty with the disrailler (sic?) when my chain came off of the drive and I tried to put the chain on. Before then, I liked the bike. Now it breaks down too often. The chain guard is plastic, held on by 4 very cheap small screws. The brakes are adequate, but need to be adjusted if you ever replace a tire or loosen the back wheel. I like the weight and size and the seat which make for a relatively comfortable ride and ease for putting it on a bike rack. I like the choice of speeds, I can go uphill and downhill comfortably. I only use it on paved surfaces by choice. I would like to be able to find parts and a diagram of the assembly. I prefer to do my own work, but maybe if I had easy access to a bike shop, I would be better off with this bike.

The bike looks nice, but the brake pads are wearing out fast because they are a cheap material, and the pedals broke off after a few rides.
