Meet the threat of the Decepticons head on with the Transformers Prime Robots in Disguise Voyager Optimus Prime figure. Optimus has had an upgrade, and he's ready to take on Megatron in the battle for the fate of the galaxy! When he transforms from truck to Autobot mode, his rear mounted cannon changes into a glowing blaster so he's always ready for action. This 18cm action figure will be a hit with all fans of the movie series, and includes batteries.

My son loves it
Bought this and Bumblebee together. My son is delighted. He's 5 and worked out fairly quickly how to put it altogether as a vehicle and back as a robot. This one has bits that do fall off when it drops etc - the big blue and grey arm attachment in particular. Luckily not small enough to inadvertently and easily disappear up the hoover!

Not necessarily fo boys!
This was top of my 9 year old granddaughter's wish list for Xmas so she was delighted with it. She has played with it a lot and it is certainly strong enough to cope with being transformed many times! She is far better at it than I am!

Like all character toys now.. Cheap
This was a lot smaller than I expected, it looks and feels cheap. Not good value for money I'm afraid

Great toy, a bit hard to transform!
My 3 1/2 year old LOVES this toy. It looks good, is quite big and works well in both robot and truck mode. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because it is quite difficult to transform - if this is intermediate I dread to think what a hard one would be like! It took me a week to get the hang of it and my little boy can't do it on his own, so I frequently hear, 'mummy can you turn it into a truck' 'now can you turn it into a robot' etc etc!

Not Much Bang For Your Buck
Further grist to the critic's mill in the form of Transformers : Prime Robots In Disguise Powerizer Optimus Prime. Even putting off buying this guy for six months or so, it's not hard to see why this guy was such a hesitant purchase. Looking at him in his box you can see how cheap he looks. The robot mode is awash with boring grey plastic with some of the dullest reds and blues ever to cover an Optimus toy. Not to mention the amazing black plastic wheels. This impression isn't really improved out of the box with this latest iteration of Optimus feeling distinctly underwhelming. Not good news for one of your cornerstone characters. Or the folk handing over their cash for such an underwhelming chisel of plastic. On the plus side, one thing this Optimus does is take the movie aesthetic and manage to make it work in the former Voyager scale. The detail is really great and there's some great joints in the arms and legs - ball and swivel- to make him a fun figure to play with. There's also a lack of any kibble with the vehicle mode all accounted for in the robot mode. I especially like the vehicle bits that fold up on his back which give him a neat silhouette. He's quite tough looking too, although his head does seem a bit lost on the expanse of his shoulders and the light piping barely works. As with Megatron, Optimus is crippled by incredibly loose ball joints at his hips so falls over. All the time. The weapons are less than impressive. The Mech Tech weapon is just horrible, and on mine the gears don't work so it just sits a clumsy box on his forearm. The sword that he comes with is nice, but a bit feeble. The engineering is first rate though, with a clever and involved, though not complex Transformation. The way all the various parts twist around and lock together is great. The only thing that is inherently daft is the way the shins flip up under a couple of axles for no real reason other than to make the back of the truck look a bit flatter. The back of the cab is a horrible mess though, with folded up axles highly visible. The vehicle mode is nice, overall despite looking a little cartoony with the rear of the truck looking a little short in comparison with the huge amount of room the cab takes up. The detailing is excellent, but again sold short by light materials and a lack of paint applications. The wheels roll fine, but do flap about on those axles. As with a lot of the Prime toys, the impression is largely disappointment. The figure just isn't as good as it could be, and really, with so many other versions of a similar looking Prime in the various movie lines over the last five years, there's nothing here that's substantially different to warrant a further purchase, especially when the end result is so underwhelming.
