Love this sub
Love this sub. Period. The foot switch makes it easy to reference the low end quickly, then get back to fine tune mixing.

Failed almost immediately and customer service is terrible.
I purchased a brand new MRS10 to go along with a newly bought Mackie 402VLZ mixer and MR524 speakers. The MRS10 stopped working after less than 1 month and was producing clicking noises. I called Mackie and had to send them proof of purchase, even after having already registered with proof of purchase, because the customer service rep was easily confused and somehow thought it wasn't under warranty despite being just bought. It took three days for them to tell me that it was under warranty and to take it to a service center, which is exactly what I was telling them the whole time. My service center took 6 weeks with it only to tell me it was not repairable and that they called Mackie who told them I should send it back so they can send me a new one. I picked it up from the service center and called Mackie back. They were once again dumb founded by the situation and didn't know what to do. They did replace it, though the replacement is an obvious refurbished unit that didn't even include a product box or the included foot switch. I bought a brand new unit and ended up with a refurbished one which is highly disappointing. My advice is to go with a more reputable company. On the plus side the system does sound good. Update: The replacement unit they sent failed completely within a week. Customer service was even worse the second time to the point that they stopped replying to me, and no I was not being rude. Because it took so long to get the new unit I lost the ability to return the original defective one for a refund. Mackie could not care less, they also refused to refund me. I bought a KRK to take its place and I love it. I will never buy Mackie products again.

IT COMES WITH A FOOTSWITCH INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE!!!!!!!!
This would have been REALLY nice to know before I went and spent an additional $20+ on a footswitch and cable that I now have no use for. Nowhere on the description or images does it expressly say that a footswitch is included, only that it has a port for footswitch capabilities. I really do hope this review will be helpful to someone who's considering making the purchase. That being said, everything else I'm very satisfied with. My first speakers were CR3's from Mackie, and I liked those so much I went and upgraded to MR624's, and liked those so much that I decided to purchase this subwoofer. If a company is good to me, I'm loyal and Mackie has been good to me. But dammitall, I spent a good hour doing price points on footswitches and shopping for the right one and buying a cable and all that extra jazz all for nothing just because they failed to briefly say "footswitch included" or even BETTER just include it in the product pictures.

It works great and I love it. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't so very expensive.

Good buy. Maybe...
Sounds good. But overall drop in signal coming from the outs going to the main speakers. Atleast 3db -6db drop in the signal through the sub vs connecting directly to my monitors. Tried all settings but the main monitors now sound weak and thin. Maybe it's just a faulty piece that I recieved.

Disappointed in product quality
Sub woofer did not work and the outer case looked it had been used for an extended period of time.

Loud, but...
Very loud and capable, but I found it to be too 'boomy' despite adjusting all possible settings, crossover, etc.
