Solid piece of equipment
Bought this to install my BB86 bottom bracket. Lots of different reviews on both sides of the fence but me it worked perfectly. I was concerned that the BB teeth went flush with the frame so I didn’t tighten it to the recommended torque so that i was sure to be able to grab enough of the BB to turn it. But that concern is much with the BB design then the tool.Looking at the square shape of the BB teeth and th somewhat round groves of the socket k didn’t think it was going to fit but it did with. I problem. If you need to get job done and need that size of a socket this is the one to get. At least I’m confident it won’t chew the BB if I do this right.

Good tool but tricky to use if your bracket is stuck
Got this to service my bottom bracket but ended up buggering it up a bit because the last folks to service my BB before I started doing it did not properly grease the threads and way over-torqued the BB cups. It was hard to keep the socket on the cup and it kept wanting to pop off as I’d go to loosen. In the end, I had to trash the old BB and I’m a little hesitant to use the socket anymore due to it being a bit marred on the outer face from where the old shell started to strip teeth. I did use it to re-seat and re-torque the replacement Hope I used and it was okay…it didn’t mess up the cutouts on the BB cup as I torqued to spec. I wasn’t thrilled that it didn’t hold up as well as it was almost $50 for this tool, but it’s likely machined out of aluminum so it doesn’t damage the BB. It’s just that the tool cost more than the BB. I now use the park tool wrench as it’s a little easier to keep on the cup indents than a socket BB cup if you have a stubborn bracket. As long as you adhere to actual torque specifications and aren’t a gorilla with a wrench, I’m pretty sure this tool will work well and last a good while. I also like that it is versatile with two different fit specs. Aside from the challenge of keeping it engaged when dealing with a stubborn bracket, I can’t fault this tool.

The magic tools of wheels manufacturing BB
I took my bike to the local bike shop to install a bottom bracket WM. Then I received a call from a tech that for him was imposible to install the BB because he had not the right tool to end the job. When I arrived to pick up the bike one side of the bottom bracket was almost damaged in 40% and not installed. I bought this tool to see if I could end the job, concerning about if the tool could end the job, thanks god the tool finished the installation of the BB so easy and I saved $120 for another BB. This tools is expensive but is the price if you want a WM BB.

A necessary tool if you are messing with your bottom bracket!
A bit pricey for a tool that you don't use often but an inferior product can wreak havok on your shiny bike. Buy it and after repairing or replacing your own bottom bracket twice you have saved its cost in repair shop bills.

Beautifully made and works great
I needed (yet another) new bottom bracket tool for my Wheels MFG BB, and decided to get the one from the manufacturer of my BB. It is double sided for different size BB's, and it's beautifully made. It comes with an adapter to fit my 3/8 torque wrench as well. I'd buy it again.

Great tool for a great price
If you’re doing any kind of BB work, I would recommend having this tool. It will come in handy and save you time if you don’t have one.

Pricey but better than the competition
The blue little tool almost damaged my cup. Thus, I tried the red one - Wheels Mfg Double-Sided BB Socket. It's much better. The blue tool is a piece of merde.

BB Socket
It's always great to have the right tool for the job. A bit pricey for a took just to use once a year at best but worth not marring they BB or frame.
