Love this stuff. It will hold the waves in my hair without my hair being sticky, crunchy, tacky or dirty feeling. I don't know what it uses to do this, but it is not saltwater, which I hate in my texturizers. It has a pleasant fragrance and will last all day. And the next day all I have to do is spray water on my hair and scrunch it up and the waves will reactivate, although I will add a little more to make it more wavy. I do not have curly hair, I have very fine, wavy, uncontrollable hair (started after menopause) and this helps to tame it and give my waves structure. I bought this size to try it, and now I want the full size bottle of it. I can't speak as to how this will act on really curly hair, but if your hair is very wavy, I definitely recommend trying this. I was not expecting anything great, and I expected the usual tacky feel of texturizing sprays, and this had a very surprising result. While my hair is not completely soft with this, it's not crunchy either. After it dries, you can go back and rescrunch it to soften the waves some. I will be buying more in the future.

I love the smell of this product, and gives my fine hair the extra body it needs.

I have 2B/2C hair and I’ve always struggled to find products for it that didn’t weight it down, make it look greasy etc. for a while I was straightening my hair every day because I just couldn’t figure out what to do with it and stopped buying products bc they were going to waste.I decided to try this wave spray and this exactly what my hair needed. Sorts my bed head right out and defines my waves a little more and reduced frizz. now when I wake up in the morning all I need is a little hair oil and the wave spray and I’m ready to go.If you’re looking for super defined waves/curls though I don’t think this is the product for you.I also am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because it gives me hair a dryer texture I don’t love and though the scent is nice I wish there was an unscented option.

Works well! Not greasy or crunchy. Not sure I like the smell though. Reminds me of bug spray. Wish it smelled more tropical or neutral.

VERY strong scent. Don't get me wrong, the scent itself is pleasant but's too much for me, and I'm usually only moderately sensitive to smells. I'm glad I didn't put perfume on before using this! Texturizes my fine hair really well though, and is kinda perfect after ~12 hours so the smell can dissipate to a more normal level. Kinda pricy for what it is, imho

So my hair is fine. Like, if I counted the hairs on my head it would total 5. It's not only been falling out a lot lately to a concerning amount, but is also not dense and has no life. After watching a JVN video about fine hair, I decided to try this spray out for a night out where I needed to not look like Gollum. I followed JVN'S advice and sprayed it in while my hair was still wet, blow dried and styled and holy moly, I had volume! I had texture! My hair didn't look like I was a palliative care patient! Combined with some toppik also at the recommendation of JVN, I felt like I had my hair back! Needless to say, this will be going in my rotation. Ouai never misses with their products.

I had high hopes for this, because I've used some of Ouai's other products and really like them. Sadly, it's awful. I used a few spritzes on my dry hair to revive my waves from yesterday's wash, and not only does it STINK, but the lower half of my hair now feels both dried out AND greasy at the same time. So now I'm stuck with smelly hair that looks like crap for the rest of the day.
