Disappointment
First off, I LOVE Maria Emmerich. I have almost all of her books and have great respect for her. That said, this very slim, 65 page "book" is a real disappointment. Apparently it's supposed to be an eBook because it has a couple of pages that have "Click HERE to..." Even the bottom edges of the pages are ragged and uneven, as if hand-cut.As far as the content, it does not give complete information such as how to incorporate protein sparing modified fasting such as how many days are recommended or should it be interspersed within a ketogenic diet? There are only two pages introducing and explaining this method at the beginning in large font. One can assume two weeks, I guess, since there are two weeks' worth of menus at the end.I give it two stars only because I should have looked more closely before I spent $29.99 on this. I was willing to since it was Maria and I've been impressed with her thus far, so I simply didn't research it.

Don’t buy if you are expecting a regular cookbook
Woefully slender, outrageous price. Since I read other reviews I knew that when I bought it, but I took a (big) chance in order to get the information. Some of the recipes will work for me, but others won’t because I have egg and dairy intolerances. That matters quite a bit when you’re looking at such a small pamphlet. But I am still hoping the guidelines for this modified fast will work for me. That’s why I picked a middle of the road rating. We’ll see. (Edited to add: Yes, the e-book is cheaper at $20, but a $20 ebook is also an outrageous price for such a small booklet. The potentially useful information I wanted is literally on two pages - probably the length of a blog post. Nobody can get inside the authors’ heads, so who knows what their thinking was, but as a consumer I’ll be honest, this feels like a money grab. While I understand that using CreateSpace is expensive for print copies, especially if you have color photos, I don’t think there’s any excuse for the e-book price. I’m downgrading my three star review to two stars. I also want to add, I’ve got two or three of her other cookbooks and enjoy them tremendously. The dairy free cookbook is the most useful to me, and therefore the most enjoyable.)

Don't Buy This "Book"!
I am so disappointed. I have loved every one of my previous Maria Emmerich books. First, this took a long time from order to delivery. Second, it arrived badly damaged. Third, it is nothing like my previous purchases, a slim 65 pages and less than 50 recipes. I will never buy another title from this author without reading the reviews. I wish I would have read the dismal reviews and saved myself almost $30. At $5, it would have been priced right. This is horribly over inflated and definitely not in keeping with the standard set by her previous I ys books. Shame on you, Maria Emmerich, for disappointing one of your biggest fans. And shame on me for falling for this excuse for a book. At best, it is a booklet. At worst, it is a rip-off. Maria, I will never feel the same way about your books again.

Not worth the money spent
whished I had read the reviews. I have other books by Maria Emmerich and LOVE them. Not to mention that the publishing company had a misprint on mine so the middle of the book was a children's cartoon about dinosaurs for about 15-20 pages. I returned it.

Save your money
I have to agree 100% with everything Just Little ol me said. I love Maria, have several of her books, but this one was a huge disappointment. $29 for a pamphlet is outrageous, and it is an incomplete writing in opinion. You can get more information about “eating carnivore” on you tube. Save your money.

Great Resource, but a little pricey
Yes, this was meant to be an ebook, but they created a hard copy for those of us who wanted it in hard copy form. I have 5 other of her books and I love them! I have lost almost 40 pounds this year and purchased this book to help me break an 1.5 month stall. I tried this for 5 days and am down 5 pounds. PSMF has a short intro and a lot of recipes and a 2 week menu to map out what PSMF days look like. These recipes are quick and easy to prepare and delicious!! Thanks Maria! Since it was converted from an ebook some formatting (links, click here, etc) was still showing up and it was a little pricey for the size of the book, but other than that, it’s a great resource!! I definitely have no regrets!!

I should have heeded to the other critical reviews
The Kindle version of this book is not formatted well. My main reason for purchasing this book was to see the meal plan ideas but the original chart is rendered useless by a lack of formatting. I suspect the version you get from the authors' web site would be better but I had an Amazon gift card and thought based on the Emmerichs' more recent kindle books that I could make it work. I was wrong.

Disappointment
I heard the Emmerichs interviewed recently discussing the protein sparing modified fast. The interviewer raved about the hard boiled egg pudding and talked about this book so I ordered it.First, that recipe is not in the book. This book is the size of the magazine style recipe books you see frequently at the grocery store for $9.95There are 47 recipes. 4 are flavored ice "recipes". 5 are simple condiment recipes. One "recipe" is canned tuna with dijon mustard and one is a hamburger patty with mustard "sauce".You need to be wealthy to make some of the other recipes because 7 are for shrimp, filet mignon or lobster tail. Some call for unusual ingredients like garam masala, coconut vinegar, yellow curry paste, coconut aminos. These are not items I usually have on hand even though I have been low carb for 25 years, and I will not be investing in them. 4 recipes call for almond milk, a highly processed unnatural product. Save your money and look up protein sparing modified fast recipes on line. I wish I had!

A bit aggrieved at the price
I had expected a better book for the price paid. It's a lightweight flimsy paperback. The recipes aren't massively inspiring, nor photographed well. I'm keeping it because high protein recipe books are few and far between, but I think it should have cost more like £10, not £22.

Extremely expensive for what it is!
I have to agree with all the other 1 & 2 star reviews (which regretfully I didn’t read before purchasing the book)I love the Emmerichs and follow Maria on all her social media platforms, but this book is hugely disappointing. It is not a book; at a push, it’s a ridiculously priced magazine! It literally is a printout of a tiny e-book.Compared to any of her other books this is a total joke. Don’t waste your money on this, get one of her proper books instead. The Sugar Free Kids is really good.

Thanks Maria!
Bought for ideas to use PSMF to break a 3 month stall. Would have preferred a bit more in-depth description on PSMF and suggestions how to implement. But seeing the recipes provided the general idea I was seeking. Love the Asian Ground Turkey. Did the plan for a week, then returned to regular keto. Losing weight steadily again.

Overpriced book.
Expensive book for the amount of information provided. Tons of similar recipies are available for free on blogs. Actual info on IF is limited.

I love Maria Emmerich. Her ideas to cut done on calories 3 to 4 times
The media could not be loaded. The only thing i can say negative is that my poppers did not stay puffed but they taste just like yorkshire pudding.. yum..I will message Maria and ask her for any tips to try so they don't fall down. I tried a toothpick like the instructions said.. but her recipes taste amazing....❤
