The Starr X Sx-Obh-Z Classic Stationary Bottle Opener

This bottle opener is exactly like the 50 year old ones you'll find at flea markets minus the chipped paint and rust. The opener mounts solidly to the wall with the provided screws. The construction is gratuitously thick metal just like the old ones, so there's no wobble or flex when you open a bottle with it. It does the job and does it well, and it looks classy. I've got mine installed by the beer fridge in the barn. If anybody asks me about it, I'll just tell them my grandfather put it there 50 years ago. They'll never know.INSTRUCTIONS:For the uninitiated, its the top inner lip that does the opening- not the little tab poking out into the opening. Put your bottle in at a near-horizontal angle and push to rotate it back to its upright position. Not that I really needed one with twist off caps on todays bottles, but seeing as how I grew up in the era of bottle openers like these and fender skirts it's a really a nice touch at the end of my new kitchen counter and saves my aging hands along with the little ones that can't quit get it done. I also bought one from Coca Cola for the back porch next to the pool. I've also had quit a few positive comments on them. TW

If you're mounting to sheetrock, you'll need to get an oval-head bolt that can make it through the sheetrock into the stud, or get an appropriately sized sheetrock anchor. I'd recommend going into a stud though for sturdiness because you're obviously going to be torquing on this thing pretty frequently.Other than that it's very sturdy and stylish.

I love pepsi things, even more than Coe things. I had been looking for one of these for a long time so I was very happy to see this. It works great and came with outing hardware that even worked. I have gotten a lot of mounting hardware lately that doesn't work well but this does.

Wife loves Pepsi, and she loves the old school script. Now we just have to find the right place for it.

Completely inaccurate description and picture as others have mentioned. Need an "open both here" product as advertised but both parts even after returning in as "shipped wrong item" cam with some other logo on it "dw".Also I suspect these are counterfit "star x" openers. Compared to my other genuine openers this aluminum alloy looks very poorly cast and weak.

The item pictured has the words ‘open bottle here’ on the top. The item I received has the ‘dw’ logo for a drum store, Drum Workshop, located in Southern California. Why would I want some random company logo on my opener? Now I have to return it and find a new one.

when i saw it i had to get it! i have not used it yet but i already know where i will put it and has favorite word on it! its small and will not to heavy just right size and weight!
