Really Enjoyed this Book
Every woman needs a Brigham. Loved him. I thought he made the perfect hero, bold, strong, passionate and handsome to boot. I liked Rory but I liked him best. The only complaint I have is I would love to read Quinlyn’s and Eamon story first, if one exists I can’t find it. I highly recommend this story.

Serially Yours and Loving It
This was purchased for review on my blog from which the following is an excerpt. So, other than frantically, toe-tappingly awaiting the release of episode three to see whether Aurora cowers or conquers the scariest dude in all England, Lord Brigham de Mornay, how did I feel about this story? Well, that toe-tapping is a good indication that I feel I quite like it.It's the first serial I have read so I was a little lukewarm at first. Coreene tells me it is one of her favorite periods and that she has studied it extensively. This is deep Middle Ages and there wasn't much in the way of comfortable anything. Aurora has a loyal friend, Nate who presents a very unusual twist for a book placed in Medieval England. With the serial format Coreene has to create something of a cliffhanger with each episode. And, she has to build up the sexual tension already apparent between Aurora and The Lord of Mornay, keep us interested, and without allowing its, er, consummation too soon. These two necessities feel very natural and are well-accomplished. Also due to the serial nature Coreene has to shorthand some aspects of the story, like her uncle's evil ways and their escape - they have to be fully realized without taking up a lot of time.AGH! What's going to happen next???? How can you top what's already happened, near death, escape, spanking, SALVATION and then SALIVATION! I don't know, but now is the time to catch up so you are all ready for the next and future episodes.I cannot wait for the next episode! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!And, I like this format. I read a lot, really, a LOT. Having something short that I am waiting for each week is appealing and easy to fit in between other books.

Thoroughly enjoyable
It seems that this is a book by a new author and I actually downloaded it with whispersync, so I both read and listened to it. I had some driving to do and wanted to pass the time. Both the book and the audio version are very good. I see that it was originally released as a serial and I'm glad that I missed that. I loathe serial books and wish that this wasn't the latest trend with publishers. Anyway having said that this book was great, not perfect but way up there. The elements of humour had me smiling often.+++Spoilers+++I loved the fact that the H and h were so physically attracted to each other in a very believable way. I loved the fact that the author was true to the times and although they pushed the limits, they only consummated their relationship after marrying. I really loved the way they found love and again it was credible. Though united because of their chemistry, they fall in love more slowly. Everything I look for in a romance and the bonus on top is that it is set in medieval times. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Back to reading roots...
Shades of the reason I started reading romance in the first place: good storytelling. Character-wise, this offering puts me in mind of Stephanie Lauren's early Cynster novels, in terms of the crispy-on-the-outside-gooey-on-the-inside hero, and the endearingly spunky heroine...in a much earlier period in time, of course.I thoroughly enjoyed this look back...to my own reading roots but also to the historical genre. I've been gone too long...Now, for this trend into serials: I must add that I don't like them and only because I knew Ms. Callahan was a good storyteller, did I succumb to the serial purchase this time. I am too impatient to wait for a next instalment when I am in the mood to "read-on", and having to remind myself where a story left off each time I get a new instalment, is annoying. In this case, the story and the storyteller were worth it, but it detracted from the reading experience enough to lose a star...with all apologies to an excellent author, whose story was not at fault...

X-Rated
Fabulous, fabulous story! I loved Aurora, Brigham, Nate and all the rest. This is a deeply romantic book. Warning; x-rated scenes. Without them, I would have given it 5+ stars.

I enjoy reading full novels better
A thoroughly enjoyable story. Thank you for offering this book in novel form instead of a series of Kindle Shorts. While I understand the purpose of the short stories, I enjoy reading full novels better. The storyline is historical romance, well researched and colorfully written. This is the first book I have read in a long time which kept my interest all the way through. Other than a few lines which I thought were out of the historical period, I enjoyed the method the storywriter utilized. It is very easy to become of the Heroin in the story, as she is similar to many readers. We are often brave on the outside and very insecure on the inside. I also very much liked the endearing "little heart" nickname. It made me smile through the entire book. One of my favorite attributes about the book is that it continued until the storyline was complete. There were a couple of places where the author could have stopped the story, but continued on. This gave the book a great deal of depth and sustenance. Well done.

The interaction between Aurora & Brigham & there love for one another jusrt set my heart a flutter
This book caprured myattention from the beginning to the end. The interaction between Aurora & Brigham & there love for one another jusrt set my heart a flutter. When Brigham went to rescue her from her slimy Uncle& felt bad because he felt he let her down from protecting her as promised & the struggle he went thru after was heartbreaking. Had it not been for Aurora & her knowing how to bring him out of his funk he never would have recovered. He also was so gentle with her know ing that she was a virgin on yhere wedding night. He may have been a warrior but he was a puppy dog where his love for Aurora was concerned. I'll read it again after I read some othera. It would be nice to see then have children & what pursuits there children might get into. Bravo Coreene:)

Wow!
Medieval romance at its best, great plot, fabulous characters and a beautiful love story, this book has it all.Loved the strong alpha hero and the interaction between him and the stalwart heroine. The humour the author interspersed through the tale had me laughing, the growing love that the main protagonists had was hot and sexy..........Wow again!I will definitely be more from this author and highly recommend this book to you.

Could be better
I was disappointed in this because it sounded in the description, as if it would be a fantasy/thriller with a little romance thrown in to lighten it. Unfortunately for me the whole story was based on unrealistic fantasy/romance and could have been SO MUCH better if the "mills and Boon" association had been left out

Warrior's Revenge
I did not finish this book, which is really unusual for me. It lost my interest about half way through. Modern day expressions were mixed with old English, and there was far too much detailed sex for my liking. The story line seemed to have potential, but it was not well written. It is hard to love a book when you don't like the main characters. Sorry, but for me this was £1.29 and time wasted.

Mismatch
If you like well researched historical novels, this is not for you. If you like a steamy Mills and Boon, it could be. I wasn't keen on the mix of modern day phrases interspersed with a 'twas or mayhap to make it seem appropriate to the era. I felt the modern day values set in a medieval time was a bit of a mismatch, but it was an easy read mixed with lighthearted humour.

Waste of time
This was a feeble attempt at an historical novel. It takes more than a liberal sprinkling of 'mayhaps' to create period speech. I did not enjoy reading the repetative love scenes - too many and too similar to be other than boring. If there are any budding writers out there take hope from this novel, after all it got published.
