Great product for the cost, calculations (dosage ratio) may not be right.
I searched through numerous products looking for the best value along with high ratings and this was the product I settled on. Based on the dosage provided, it took two rounds to reduce my phosphate level and not one as it should have.I have a 10k gallon pool and at the time of first application, had a phosphate level around 1k. According to the chart on the bottle, I should have needed about 6oz of the product. The label states per 10k gallons: 4oz for a phosphate level of up to 750, 8oz for 1500. I dosed 6oz, which should have covered my level plus an additional 125 (6oz=1125). I ran my filter for 24 hours as directed, turned it off and let it sit overnight. I then vacuumed in the morning and took a new reading. It came back around 500. I then did a second application (4oz to cover up to 750) and after this application, I am now below 100.I don't know if I got an expired bottle or maybe it deteriorated while sitting in Amazon's warehouse but it did not work exactly as directed and with that, the value does not support the dosage.

Did not have to drain entire pool
After two weeks of shocking and vacuuming my pool my pool store said I had chlorine resistant algae and that I would have to drain the entire pool, scrub it and refill. So we decided to do that at the end of the season and just scub and vacuum the pool everyday. Then I researched and found this product. I followed the directions and my pool has never been cleaner!! No algae and no draining. I highly recommend you try this before you take such a drastic step.

This stuff worked when other products failed
This stuff is amazing. We had phosohates over 2000 and the water was slightly cloudy. Our pool store had us try two different types of phosphate removers with minimal reduction. This caused us to continuously have to add chlorine to keep our levels in check (we have a salt water pool and our chlorine generator was on 80% ). I ordered this product and poured in about half a bottle. Wow over night I had a think layer of goop on the bottom of the pool. Vacuumed it to waste and within about a day my phosphates barely registered . My chlorine is now in check and the pool is sparkling clear. I will be adding a maintenence abount weekly to keep the phosphates in check.

This stuff works!
Ive been using PhosFree for years and decided to switch. There are a few products that are similar to this but this was a bit less expensive so I decided to give it a try. It works and continues to work! My water has never been better and this has made maintaining my pool a breeze.

Greatly reduces algae
I used 6 oz for first application to a 12000 gallon pool. The daily algae problem is now minimal. After a few hours the water went cloudy. After 24 hours of filtering, it was clear. The pool vacuum cleaned it up. The filter was then cleaned. Algae and white powder washed out. Very little algae left in the pool now where before it was a daily problem. A shock and a clean will finish the process. The product works as advertised.

This product worked for me!
I had phosphates in my pool that were off the charts due to refilling my pool from the well (18x36) I have been using phosfree and just couldn’t drop my levels. Using this product one time dropped the levels of phosphates in my pool to acceptable levels in 2 days!! This is my new Go-to product. I live in the country where chemical are constantly blowing into the pool from the crop fields. This product is awesome!

Powerful Stuff
I have a 38k gal in ground saltwater pool that I keep open all year. We've had 4 feet of rain since November and my phosphates were off the chart. I purchased 2 quarts of Phosphate Remover X, and used only 1. Took my phosphates to zero. It WILL could your water, but that let's you know it's working. Water will clear up after a few days. Keep an eye on pump pressure dailyBottom line; the most powerful phosphate remover I've ever used.

Works well, and relatively cost effective.
There's really not much to say. It works very well and is far more concentrated than most competing phosphate removers, especially the weekly-application-type products from your local pool supply store, which amount to an overpriced subscripton service.
