Gave it a decent chance but eventually switched to a NATO strap
wanted to like this thing, but it was never comfortable enough, and I eventually switched to a NATO style band.==============original 4* review here:==============Like one of the other reviewers here, I initially had a problem where it felt like the band was squeezing the sides of my wrists. The reason is that the silicon wants to spring back to being perfectly straight - it's flexible but springy. After a week or 2 of wearing the band on and off, I can finally see that even in it's resting position the silicon now has a slight curve, and has been more comfortable. Occasionally I still notice it and take it off for a while, but otherwise it's been quite nice. I am going to try putting the thing in a clamp for a while and see if it takes even more of a curve.I am using it with a Pebble (original).Recommendation for sizing: - Install into watch - remove clasp on both ends - very easily done, just push the pin through using something sharp like an awl or a screw, then pull it with pliers - cut each side equally, just such that bands don't overlap. You'll need to cut 3 or 4 more notches to make room for the clasp, but this intermediate step will give you the ability to "test" exactly how much more to remove. If I had followed my original instinct to just use a ruler to measure the distance between the clasp pins, I definitely would have ended up with a band that was too tight.

Improvement over the original
The band looks and feels much better than the original (casio dive watch). I had to go through my replacement pin set to find a good fit, but other than that, replacement was simple. You do need to cut these to fit, afterwards there are limited upward adjustments possible. I'd recommend adjusting the pins to be in their shortest adjustment configuration before beginning so that you have some upward adjustment potential in case of error. The band has held up well now for 6 weeks. Other reviewers have complained about lint collecting tendencies. Though true, the entire assembly (dive watch and band) are easily washable and so the problem is easily corrected. Also after a time this problem goes away - I don't notice it at all anymore. One last comment: I have zero damage to the watch using this band. I think that in part this is because the watch tends to move less with this comfortable band.

Didn't ever conform to the shape of my wrist.
I ordered this band to wear with my original Pebble watch. It was easy to size the band to fit me and it is very light. The problem is that the band did not ever seem to form to my wrist. After wearing it 24 hrs a day for over a month it still seemed to want to be flat which makes it squeeze my wrist. I'm not a big guy and my wrist is not big, not sure if this had an impact or not, but I have lots of other watch bands that have conformed to my wrist over time. This doesn't seem like it should be a big deal, but after a month of constant pressure on 2 sides of my wrist I'm tired of it. I took it off and put the original band back on.

watch out if you have a tiny wrist
This is a nice band. It's as simple as expected to replace on a watch, and it's straightforward to trim segments off where it hooks to the buckle to make it fit a smaller wrist.Just one note of caution: If you have a smallish wrist, as I do, you may not find this to your liking. By the time you trim it down, the buckle may be occupying a fairly large percentage of the underside (away from the watch). That was the case for me, and I decided to not use it for that reason. However, I don't regard that as the fault of the product, and I think it's a good value for the money.

Didn't know they made deployment bands for diver's watches
I don't like buckle-style watch bands. When I got my new Casio diver's watch I wanted to replace the original buckle band with a deployment clasp band that still kept the Lloyd Bridges "Sea Hunt" look to the watch. This one works for me. You get to dosome fitting; may need to cut the length but it's an easy fix to get the fit. Nice band, softer feel to the rubber than the Casio band and easier to fasten once you learn how to work the stainless steel clasp.

The soft metal actually makes the band more comfortable to wear
Works and looks a bit more modern and sporty on my chronometer than the original leather strap. The metal material on the watchband is soft which actually makes bending and conforming it to my wrist more comfortable to wear. My mistake was cutting off the excess band and making the watch fit a bit too snug to my wrist. If I end up buying another rubber watchband, I will base my measurement so that I could make adjustments using the pin settings.

no spring bars
I bought this silicone rubber watchband with deployment buckle because it looks more flexible than the polyurehane watchband. It is but not much difference. This watchband conforms more to my wrist. Another difference is this rubbertech watchband does not come with the springs bar. I think it would only cost pennies wholesale to include a springs bar. That is why I could only give this item 4 stars. I will use it.

I bought this for my Pebble smart watch. I like it much better than the band that came with my watch. I have small wrists, so the original band that came with me looked a little funny since I had it on almost the smallest hole. I cut this new band to fit me, which wasn't too hard. Be careful and cut it too big to start.
