it's sturdy and exactly what we needed! however, assembly was tough.the boards for the shelves were so tight a fit that we struggled for over 2 hours trying to align them, ending up scratching a lot of the wood and metal in the process but nothing you'd see unless you were right up close so that's whatever for us personally... a lot of the screws would not catch easily and it took so many adjustments to get it all assembled proper. it's definitely a 2+ person job.in the end it's a nice shelf and exactly what we wanted for our setup, tall enough to reach the mantle we have with enough space for game consoles and the strength of the frame and boards to hold everything nicely.

I use this product for my Comic Trades and Graphic Novel collection and it is holding up great! Each shelf can hold a good weight and number of books and the Bookshelf itself does not shake, sway or tip over.The only thing I wish it had was more clearance in the height of each shelf. I have a few art books that measure 13 inches tall and the shelves only hold 12" tall books. I have laid them down on their sides and they fit okay but it would be nice if they could stand spine-upright.

Attractive and relatively sturdy considering the shelves are made of MDF. There was some problems with assembly. It was not always easy the engage the bolt into the part that receives it. Partly it was getting the parts lined up. But on 3 pieces the internal threads were messed up (or got messed up during assembly - it is a cast piece and the metal is soft). With the messed up threads we couldn't screw the bolt in all the way. To fix this 1) I removed both the bolt and the part with the internal threads. Removing the second part is tricky- sometimes I inverted the shelf and tapped the other side enough to pry it out. 2) I held the part with the internal threads in a pair of pliers and screwed the bolt into it with enough force to restore the threads. I reassembled and everything worked fine. once I just tried using force with the bolt during installation but realized that I was just chewing up the shelf.So we are happy with the shelf. If I had to do it again I would first make sure the parts threaded together easily before assembly. A few extra parts would have been appreciated.

I had looked at a lot of shelving systems online, tough to pick something out without being able to actually see the quality of the materials used. This turned out to be a gem. Nice quality, sturdy when assembled. The instructions were good, although I'd suggest reading through all of them before actually starting the project. I also had a helper during this assembly, much easier with two people. I will add that I received an email from the seller prior to receiving the package with some detailed tips for assembly - very nice customer service touch. Would definitely buy again.

I love it I got it to match my industrial style loft home in an old mill building and if I had not had two more I would’ve bought three of these they’re fantastic and I could put together all of myself I’m 5 foot one all I was he just do you get is a good tool kit because you have to do with the provided hex hey it would take you hours - took my Aline with the right tools ⚒ 45 minutes abd ut like great feel sturdy and I love it!

I found this shelf to be difficult to assemble, and I usually take pride in my ability to put these types of things together. It looks nice from a few feet away, but the quality of the particle board shelves isn't great up close. The metal sides are a nice quality, however. Make sure you put the seam which is located on each of the shelves facing the back of the unit! I did this incorrectly, but it was such a pain to put together I haven't tried to fix it yet. Overall, for the price, I would say it is a decent purchase, IF you have the patience to put it together.

I looked and looked for a book shelf that was the right price,size,color,sturdiness,etc.I took a chance based on the reviews and pictures,this is a well made piece of furniture.Really good deal for the price,the shelves feel like they have a protectant coating on them also.Very sturdy and strong....and not too heavy to move if needed.I would recommend this for the price,quality,and style! We had a dead corner in our room that we wanted to fill. So putting this book shelf in there was perfect. It arrived perfectly undamaged and went together very easily with a tool set instead of the allen wrench provided. It was a bit larger than we figured it would be when we measured it out with a tape measure, but we personally like the extra 'largeness' feel it provides.
