A little tricky to setup, but a versatile little platform
I took a chance on buying this since I'm interested in all kinds of microcontrollers: this appears to be the smallest microcontroller on the market. It was a great kit, a little tricky to solder given its incredibly small size, but worked just fine in the end. I used the Arduino sketch (program) available online and was able to upload it to the Digispark. One thing to remember is that, to upload programs to this chip, it needs to be "flashed": you have to remove it from your computer, activate the program so it will sit and wait (ready to transmit), then plug it in the first USB port and, upon powering up, the Digispark will receive the program and then execute it. Since I have four USB ports on my laptop, I tried all four before finding the one that is technically the "first" USB. So, overall, it was a little tedious to load a program into it, but given it's small size it is actually amazing that it can be done at all. All in all, a great and worthwhile experiment that taught me a lot about micro-electronics.

Everything you need to get started.
Works as expected and very easy to program with a USB port. This kit gives you just about everything you need to get started.
