Must have at the new reduced price!
I purchased this mod right before Christmas 2018 for $70 on Amazon. I had never really been into 360° photography though I am a hobby photographer. This camera opens up a whole new dimension (literally) to my photography and photo sharing.Picture quality pretty much stinks as compared to my DSLR but I find that I'm not trying to portray an individual subject where I want to make it look good, blur the background etc but rather I'm trying to convey the "big picture" of what's going on at the moment I snap or roll the video. Because of this and the $70 price tag, I'm happy with the results. The camera app on the phone is great allowing you to do a reasonable amount of editing to both stills and video right on camera. You can even select multiple 360 videos and have them stitched together on camera. The Facebook and YouTube Live seem to work well that I've only really tested those options but they worked easily the first time I tried them. One thing that worries me is that in order to use the mod, you have to remove your case or bumper and then the phone/mod is unprotected and actually quite slippery if you're used to using a case. I use the Verizon bumper and I purchased a second one and modified it so that I could attach the 360 mod while retaining the bumper on the camera. It's not pretty but it works and provides good grip.So overall at this price I am very happy with the mod.

I was very impressed, and that's not easy to do!
I was going to Mardi Gras, and my MOTO Z camera is so scratched up from the poor design, that I had to come up with another camera idea for my trip. I was stuck between getting this one and getting the zoom camera mod. I got this one because it was on sale for under $100.I was very impressed with the quality of the photos. It has various picture/video modes, and the quality is GOOD. Not great, but good. It says it takes 4K video, which it does, but the quality of the pictures arent that great.Don't get me wrong, they look very good, but if you zoom in, they get fairly grainy fast. I would say the picture quality seems to be somewhere around 12MP. That being said, I'm satisfied with this camera, and I'm happy with my pictures from the trip.(P.S. Everyone needs to experience Mardi Gras at least once in their life!)

Ordered as new, but received used. Ended up getting nearly 50% of my money back and kept the used 360 camera
Ordered this as NEW through prime in May of 2018, from seller store named Silicon Valley. But when it showed up it was most certainly a used item. There was dirt and grime on the rubber cover for the lens. The box was opened, and the safety sticker with the instructions that is supposed to be on the device, was completely missing. While the device seemed to work fine, I was a little annoyed after paying for a brand new device, and receiving a used one.So.... I contacted motorola to find out whether it's been used, and they said it was first used back in Nov of 2017 and that is when the 1 year warranty kicked into effect. Since I purchased it in May of 2018, I lose roughly half of the warranty time as well.I initiated a return and contacted the seller, silicon valley. They acted like they didn't know the item was used, and that it was some mistake, but it was pretty apparent after reading other feedback left for them that they had to have known, since they seem to do this kind of thing somewhat often. The seller contacted me before I had sent it back and offered me roughly 45% of the money I paid back. After testing the device some, I decided to just keep it for after getting nearly $70 back. Now the device itself seems to work as intended. the 360 function is very fun to play with.Because of the way it works, with 2 wide angle lenses, it obviously isn't perfect. REAL 360 cameras that have many lenses also cost far more than this moto mod. But it does what I was expecting and it's certainly good enough for a regular user. The quality is decent. Not as good as the camera on my z2 force, obviously... But it takes some pretty good 360 degree photos and videos.a Very fun mod to have. At first I didn't get to enjoy it much because of the frustration of being sold a used item when I was expecting and paid for a new one. I guess the seller would rather just refund me $70 and play dumb, rather than admit the truth. But like I said, since the device seemingly works fine, and in the end I only paid about $80 for it. It's not a bad deal.I gave four stars for the device itself, which is what I'm rating here, not the seller, the seller got his own feedback. The 360 camera could be a bit better and they could have designed it slightly different so that you don't have to take off your bumper case, but it certainly is sufficient enough for a 360 camera mod. And far better than any of the dual wide lens 360 cameras you plug in via usb C ..Also keep in mind that if you use a case or a bumper on your phone, you will have to remove it in order for this mod to fit. The camera is almost flush with the top of the phone, so any kind of bumper case or regular case will most likely get in the way, including lenovo / motos aluminum bumper (speculation), as well as the rubber one verizon and other 3rd party sellers sell on amazon under their own brand name (actually tried). The only thing I can think of is using a dremel to shave down the plastic bumper case so maybe this 360 camera mod will fit. Otherwise, it has got to be case free with this mod on.

This mod is fun
I purchased this 360 mod to take videos of the house i grew up in so that after is sells I would be be able to look back and see it all. It worked perfectly. I was able to take nice clean videos and pictures and I actually transferred them to my VR headset which make it fell like your actually walking around and through the house and property. The mod was actually easier to use and setup than i expected. I simply put it on the back, the magnets do the rest. Then boom, the phone immediately switched to 360 video and photo mode. You can also switch back and forth through 180, 360, selfie and such. For the price, you cant find a better 360 option.

Works well
Good value as an add-on for a phone camera. You can take 360° and 180° photos easily and they are fairly good quality. Obviously there is a lot of curvature around the edges, but for a casual use case, it beats the heck out of spending hundreds for a lens for my dslr.

High quality camera, legitimate 360 views, come with Lens cover to protect when not being used
This is mod is ridiculously cheap on Amazon. Im not one to enjoy supporting such a powerful company that regularly abuses their work force, but this mod is more than double on the Moto site. I was highly impressed with the actual 360 profile of pictures taken. Videos look great, high quality resolution. As with any moto mod, snap on, update, and ready to go. Quite light as well, the body is nearly weightless plastic, most the weight is in the lens itself. Wish it came in another color than white, but im not gonna complain.

PIcture is GREAT ... outside
Anything inside or with not enough light the pictures come out grainy. I'm still glad I bought this but know what your getting, outside = GREAT, inside = bleh.
