TWI-5001 Mineral II Magnetic Water Conditioner, Gray

We purchased this about a month ago as a more affordable means of reducing hard water scale in our home. Admittedly we were quite apprehensive, but a much cheaper alternative to try. Item delivered quickly, right on time. Installed on our water pipes the next day and we decided it would take a bit to notice a change. Wrong! The water in the shower that evening was soft to touch, felt amazing! Skin and hair were definitely more soft and not dry feeling. Didn’t mention to my husband as he is much harder toImpress. However he mentioned how different the water felt and how it rolled off the shower walls and doors so quickly and easily. He was not yet totally on board but through the days he has seen a difference . Cleaning that shower area has become quick and easy. No scrubbing scale, not even water spots. I even noticed our stainless areas of our cat fountain which always require scrubbing and seldom removing all the residue was nice and smooth and shiny with just a washing. This has never happened in all the years of cleaning that fountain. Somewhere I read, and we did a lot of research on this magnet, that after time places that already held residue could clear up. My husband complained one day that the soap was not lathering as before. I explained softer more conditioned water tends to create less lather. All in all, we are believers. Water feels softer, skin and hair soft and far less dry and cleaning showers and areas are much faster and easier. Will update in a few more months to see how this sustains. Easily installed ( very few minutes), no maintenance, much cheaper than any other method, and amazing results from a couple of reluctant believers.

I just installed these a few days ago. My initial impression Is that they are working great. Anyway, I live in an area with very hard water. Calcium and iron stains are very common here. I used to have a softener. It broke shortly after I installed it. My house was not plumbed correctly for that as all my water ended up getting softened. I tried some magnets similar to these a few years ago. I did not get the results others toured. I stumbled back on magnetic water softeners again. I was reading more reviews. I found d these by chance and tried them. These work amazing. I also added a third magnet to my main feed due to my water pressure being 95 psi. I figured the extra magnet would be needed to keep the water in the field long enough to affect my water. I was right about that. Even though I just installed these, my toilet tanks are now clean. Those tanks were coated with hard water and iron stains. I am amazed by how quickly that happened. My water also tastes different even though it goes through a water filter system. The taste is not bad, but it is different. I am hoping this will reduce scale in my shower head and kitchen faucet sprayer. So far, I am beyond impressed.I have used these magnets for a few months. My shower filter and kitchen faucet do not get clogged up with limescale as much as they did prior to me installing the magnets. I had magnets on the pipe of my hydronic heat system as well. That seems to help reduce popping noises from inside my boiler. That is a vlosed loop system and that water is constantly getting treated as it cirrculates.Yes, I highly recommend these.

I have read everything on magnetic water treatment products I can find. I am still looking for more. Since I have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Electronics, I believe the technology and theory of these methods are feasible. Calcium Carbonate (Lime) is the chemical component making the water hard. Magnetic flux (or in some cases, radio waves) are used to alter the crystalline structure of the calcium molecule so it does not stick to pipes and collect causing damage. I have had 4 ion exchange systems and pressure regulator valves which I believe the city has destroyed for me by not properly regulating water pressure. 70 psi is OK. 140 psi is not. Too many water hammers and damaged brine tanks. My last PRV and salt system was only 2 years old. New PRV $700. Trying this now instead of $750 for a new salt system. I installed on 8/2/2024. If this result is minimal after several weeks, I may add an electronic descaler as well. I am hoping for 70-95% efficiency and no more salt systems which damage sewers and the environment. This magnet is tough and well built and the flux is strong.
