OpenFlash Tablet for 2012-2018 Subaru BRZ / Scion FR-S / Toyota GT86

Interesting. was not impressed at first… . but i then began to notices some changes.1. car 🚗 did not seem to cough when taking off in 1st gear ⚙️, low rpm.. like i had much more torque at the low end.2. speed shifting through the gears, recovery between gear ⚙️ slams was more responsive.3. purr at intersections nice4. gas ⛽ mileage did not change, seemed a little betterdown side.it seems it has forced me to buy headers. i am looking forward to the responses when i put the headers on4.11.19.headers installed, Borla. uelchanged to stage 2.interesting, power 💪 curve kinda gone, linier power 💪rumble (boxer) amplified 5 times.. being old school 🏫, i keep thinking timing is off a bit.that's not the case.milage dropped a tad.I think i have more power 💪, with the power 💪 curve gone, melted into rpm growth, i am just pushed back in the seat 💺 longer

This is a great product from a stand up company. I ordered mine but since my car is a 2017 the OFT did not come with the right maps for that model year. With in 24 hours of my requesting the updated maps for my car they had the manufacture email me what I needed. I hope that MA PERFORMANCE sales more products that I need for my build because with this kind of customer care they have my business. Great job Jr.

Worth every penny! Going this route is perfect now that open flash sells an uel performance header and a vortech supercharger with a tune to hit 300 at the crank. Very simple and easy process to finally give the 86 what it has been lacking in performance capabilities.

Open Flash Tablet install went smoothly. Included OBD2 to Tablet cable has fitment that is not reassuring. I felt like i might brake a solder joint in the tablet, as i tried to make the clasp catch and hold the cable in place. I initially mistook the connection to be proper and secure, which caused the tablet to flash on and off rapidly, throwing codes and resetting my ecu. No harm was done, but it was shocking none the less. Product funtions, but the accessories could use work.

Used with a '14 BRZ. The E85 tune is great. Data logging is simple. I emailed the guys a question and got a response same day.

Works great! Made a difference in power in all gears. Can't wait to get a header or a turbo!

I LOVE OPENFLASH TABLET. The product is dead simple to use, simply plug it in and follow on screen directions ...within 5 minutes your car will be a whole new animal! Not only will there be more power that you can actually feel, your entire driving experience will feel smoother and more manageable... you'll swear the car should have came from the factory this way.Once plugged in, the tablet will read your ECU and automatically provide you with compatible ROMs to flash to your specific car, and reverting back to your stock ROM is a piece of cake should you ever need it. OFT is really only designed to flash tunes to a single ("married") vehicle, but you can still plug it up to other cars and use the diagnostic features. Also, it is compatible with a few notable auto manufacturers (BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, VW, Mazda, and Fiat) as well as a few motorcycles too, so it's possible you can benefit from it for years to come (or sell it to some lucky person).For the price, you can't beat the 10% power gain you'll receive on a bone stock ride. Add a free-flowing exhaust system and the Stage 2 tunes will make it feel like a totally different car. One of the most popular features is the E85 tune, which can yield up to a 20% in power over stock. As well, with a bit of educated tweaking you can add new features (launch control, flat foot shifting, custom tuning alerts, etc.) or tailor it to maximize the potential of a wide array of aftermarket upgrade parts... this level of usage is not for the faint of heart, so plan to do a lot of research or simply buy a professional tune from Vishnu or your choice of tuners.Previous to OFT, I used the UniChip piggyback ECU. While UniChip gave me the ability to tune for aftermarket headers and exhaust and pretty much eliminated the dreaded "torque dip", the supplied tunes were not nearly as smooth in throttle response nor as effective in power delivery when compared to the FREE stage 2 UEL map that Openflash provided. The solution also did not allow for modified air intakes. Custom tuning was optional, but required a separate purchase of their Uni-Tune software and a Flux module to allow loading of multiple maps. At the end of the day, OFT is by far a more powerful and inexpensive solution.
