simple flowers ruined by complexity
not about making simple flowers more like constructing entire plants the flowers may be traditionalbut they don't look so in their complexity I was hoping for more historical stuff how they were used from tudorand Victorian times . traditional sugar flowers for traditional cakes etc I cannot see any of these simple flowersbeing used in such form by traditional cake makers etc

Lovely book, will certainly encourage me to try
I bought this book as I wanted to know more about how to make sugar flowers and this definitely covers this in great detail. It is accomplished and in a way that a novice like me can follow. There is also another, personal side for me, my father was a pastry chef in the 1960's and 70's and sugar craft was definitely a part of his repertoire, something that I don't think features a lot with modern pastry chefs these days, so I'm very glad this is being kept up by enthusiastic amateurs today!

Needed By All New Cake Decorators!
This book is brilliant both for amatuers and the more experienced Cake Decorators. The instructions are clear, step by step and accompanied by clear close-up pictures of each stage. There are also a few lesser used flowers included in the instructions which could be useful if you want to make a more unusual spray for the cake...cyclamen,clematis and forget-me-not to name a few.I would highly recommend it.
