Yes, you will be able to see where you have sprayed. This keeps you from going over the same area twice, which is wasteful and can damage your lawn. If you make two passes, you are doubling the rate, which can kill your grass Herbicides that are safe for you lawn are not safe if you use too much. Even if you are careful, I think it’s safe to say some of the dye will go where you don’t want it to. Mix it over a sheet of plastic. As one reviewer wrote, it IS a dye, a very strong dye. I wore double latex gloves and had no problem. You can rinse the dye off your sprayer, measuring container, etc., with a garden hose.
