Best net for the price
I catch my bait the same day I go fishing twice a week so the dependability of my cast net is extremely important to me. I got the 8 foot net and could not be happier with it. For a long time I suffered using a 5 foot net. A bigger net will get you more live bait in your bucket in a much faster time. This net really has an unbeatable price. It is heavy and spreads open nicely, especially when casting for distance. I was so happy with this net that when the first one I bought got snagged on the sea bottom and couldn't be pulled up, I quickly purchased the same exact one. It will save you tons of money. Live bait is expensive to the point where buying it wouldn't make fishing worth it. Catching your bait and keeping them alive will not only make fishing affordable, but also a lot more productive.

Good net for the money!
I've used these nets for years and I feel they are a good balance between cost and performance.

Impressed so far with the quality for the $$
I was skeptical about the quality of this net because of the low price but I got it today and I think i'm going to be very happy with it. I'm only 95 pounds and 5ft tall and I was able to open this up very well by the second throw (see pic in my yard). It appears to be one big piece instead of six pieces sewn together like some of the more expensive nets, but honestly I couldn't tell a difference in the way it threw. I'm going to soak it in fabric softener tonight and then take it out on the boat tomorrow. Hopefully the quality holds up! Ps- The bucket is not designed to store the net like usual… It's really hard to get back in there, it's very small.

Nice smallish 8' net that throws well making it a good all-around entry level net
Nice smallish 8' net that throws well. An 8' net should spread to 16' in diameter which I couldn't manage in the lawn pulling it out. Maybe it was when they made it, but with the shaping, it is no longer a full 8' radius. The 3/8 inch net is good for most bait in fresh and coastal fishing. This one is the smallest 8' net I've ever used. Decent amount of lead weights so it sinks quickly. Line pulls smoothly through the horn. So far, it has cleaned and held up well. For the price, it is a good deal.

Decent value
Cast nets don't last forever. That being said I'm still using this net 2 years later. The mono and construction isnt the best quality but you can open this net and catch bait. It's not the easiest to open (the softer the mono the easier) but still getting the job done. Would recommend if you are on a budget. If you arent on a budget you are going to tear your expensive net eventually anyways..

You get what you paid for!
There's a hole in my net after a few throws on land. But what's a net without a few holes? I expect some wear and tear from a 50 dollars net but it just doesn't want to spread. I tried soaking it in fabric softener and hanging it dry but nothing helps it spread to a 16 feet diameter. I'm only getting about a 13 feet pancake max. Beware buyers, it may say 16' diameter but the max it will spread is maybe 13'.

My first good cast with this net caught me a 2lb bass .....
My first good cast with this net caught me a 2lb bass (I was going for blue gill). I could not be happier with my purchase. It is a great quality net and was keeper than all the sports stores near my house including Walmart. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Obviously, casting a 8 foot net well will take a lot of practice.
