I bought this with every intention of making a few "art books". So far the needles, hand shears and awl have been used in needle felting, and the bone folders (impressive quality tools) used to smooth off some modelling material!That said it's a comprehensive starter kit for bookbinding, the reels of cord/thread look reasonable quality and it's definitely good value for the price, especially as it can be applied in other crafts!

As an avid book-lover and writer, I've always been interested in making my own notebooks. I have made books in the past with regular thread and needles and improvising the other tools with household objects with varied results, but this kit has absolutely everything necessary to get it done properly with a polished finish! Having the correct tools makes book binding so easy and relaxing (for me, anyway). I like to follow online tutorials, and I highly recommend watching the many tutorials by Sea Lemon on YouTube - whether you're a beginner, advanced or anywhere in the middle - as they are so easy to follow, especially with this kit.

I make my own books and this is a great little kit, fantastic value for money and really useful, really excellent value for money.

Arrived within a day ordering, great see kit .Have only given 4* for sturdiness as the first needle I used broke, but well worth the money.

Got to say, this is definitely a good price for what you get - good quality.Would recommend

Useful tools for preparing and sewing card and fabric holes when making own textile book.

Perfect for making a little watercolour sketchbook for my travellers notebook. The awl is more then sharp enough to push through very thick paper with ease. A nice selection of sewing needles and threads. Very pleased with the thread snipper & wondering why I didn’t own one before as very useful.

I think this set is very good for the price, the tools are completely adequate and reliable.

Bellissimo set per chi, come me, ha voluto cimentarsi nella legatoria per la prima volta. Aghi di varie dimensioni, fili molto resistenti e di bei colori (fanno un bell'effetto sulla carta) e punteruolo ottimo e comodo per realizzare i buchi in cui far passare il filo. Personalmente io l'ho usato per rilegare quadernini interamente fatti a mano, fatti di carta e illustrati, con copertina di cartoncini rigidi di varie fogge e una rilegatura piuttosto semplice, facendo passare il filo attraverso 5 buchi, e devo dire che mi sono trovata benissimo.Consigliatissimo!
