Works as advertised on my S5 Galaxy ,with beautiful resolution and sound. The cabling for micro USB to phone is generous but the USB power and HDMI connectors, at about 6 inches long each, assume the image display device has HDMI and USB inputs within a foot of so each other, which would be standard on TVs (my SONY 32" flat screen had no issue) but could require an extension A/C power cord to allow HDMI plug-in on other devices. My purpose in purchasing the rig was to try to use an external display (TV) to visualize the screen of a 'dead' Samsung S5 Galaxy with a damaged , blacked out LCD screen so we could recover some Contacts stored (unwisely) on the device . As seen in photo the S5 screen displays beautifully on TV. Bad News was screen LCD panel would not take touch commands as only Home, Power, Volume button input were functional. This also meant you cannot power the phone off as a screen command is required to do so; had to pull battery to save it without constant charge source. Plan to use the rig to put YouTube or other video from phone onto jumbo screens, so was worth the small price. NOTE: packaging only claims to 'S3' compatibility and it clearly works with S5. (The beautiful smiling baby on the Wallpaper is our grandson.)

Great product, great price, fast shipping. Plugged it into my Samsung Galaxy S5 and it started mirroring screen immediately. I hooked my phone up to a portable projector to stream a football game at a NASCAR race when I didn't have another internet source or satellite tv. I would definitely recommend if you wanted to hook up your phone to a TV and stream from your phone for a tailgate if you don't have the use of satellite box. Tried it out on my 4k TV at home to test and streamed through wifi, and the quality of the picture was exceptional. Great product.

Yes, it works properly for my Samsung phone BUT the same micro connection will not fit into my Lenovo tablet (which was my preference). Very frustrating to purchase these MHL cables when there are multiple style connectors that are calling themselves the same thing and do not fit.

I have Samsung J7. I needed this for Micro USB to HDMI conversion. Micro USB port looks like a micro USB, but does not fit the phone at all. Returning.

Well first off I received a damaged one and once I contacted the seller they sent me out another. They were very nice to deal with. It unfortunately didnt work for my phone, yes I know it warned what phones it wouldn't work for, but I took the chance anyways. It does work for the phones that are compatible with it. So I recommend it but just be sure your phone offers the ability to use it. My samsung J7 does not.

It is exactly what I needed, hooked right up to my tv and Galaxy S5! The only drawback is the cord connecting to my phone is a little short and doesn't reach quite as far as I would like, it would be nice to have it on the couch with me since your phone is how you control things. That's on me though, I should have gotten a longer one. I would definately recommend, it was just what I needed.

I bought this, kept on hand so I'd have it when I needed it. The end, somehow, just doesn't fit. Looks like just poorly made.

Item doesn't not work. I plugged it in and nothing showed up. I used three different phones and none of them worked.I have wasted my money on this. Don't waste yours on this.No even a blink on my TV
