Penn Plax PBV1 7-Day Vacation Fish Feeder

Our fish were still alive when we came back 6 days later. So it worked! The fish won't tell us though if they liked the taste, they're still learning sign language :)

Llego rapido, es muy conveniente para cuando vas de viaje hasta 7 dias. Yo las compre con la esperanza de encontrar mis betas vivos y asi fue. Yo lo volveria a comprar, cuando regrese de viaje mis betas se veian igual de activos de cuando los deje y el agua del estanque no se puso turbia. Definitivamente es muy conveniente para cuando te vas de viaje y no tienes quien te los pueda atender. Esta a buen precio

I’m a tad confused as to why Amazon is asking me if I liked the flavor. Fergus the Berta had nothing to say on that matter. I used it for a weeklong trip and came back to it not being totally dissolved. My fish was super excited to be fed upon our return which made me wonder how much of the block was actually releasing food. To be honest, I’ll try a different brand next time we travel.

We came to home to a very sick fish after my daughter took meticulous care of her over 2 year old betta. We have used these before but this time it killed it. We did several water tests and it came back normal so that was only thing that was changed. It was also very upsetting to my daughter as it was the fish she had at college to keep her company when away (like an emotional support fish) and had to go back without it as it was on its last legs and she didn't want to stress him by transporting him 2 hours.

First two pictures are the setup before we left. Third picture is how it looked when we got home.Went on a 9-day trip but had people stopping by to check on the fish towards the end. Based on reading the other reviews, we made sure to get a bubbler setup to help them dissolve and we hung them from fishing lines we tied around the feeder tails. We taped the bubbler lines and fishing line to the counter so nothing would shift while we were gone.They worked great. Fish were fine when we came back on day 9. It did leave residue on the leaves and piled on the rocks at the bottom. Nothing some cleaning won’t fix.

I would highly recommend this product for keeping your fish alive while having to be gone from home for days or weeks at a time. However, note that you will have to change the water when you return home, as it does tend to leave a film on the water when it dissolves. But they do work great for keeping them alive and that’s really all that matters!!

These almost killed our betta. We have two bettas, used this product in one tank and the last feeder from another company in the other tank while on holidays for a week. The other company 's feeder worked perfectly, but this one didn't dissolve at all and our betta looked horrible when we returned. DO NOT BUY if you care about your betta!
