I wish I knew this tester existed a long time ago. My husband always tested my batteries with some gizmo that had two wires and a gauge. He was always dropping the batteries when he tried connecting everything. This tester changes all that. It's completely goof proof. Put the battery in the correct spot and it immediately gives you a reading. That's it! Couldn't be easier. Also nice that it's very lightweight and small so it fits right in the drawer with my batteries. And I love all the different sizes of batteries you can test with it. A very handy item to have for very little money.

First, the unit works great as a volt meter with a qualitative display for "goodness". But I am not sure I would consider it a "battery tester". To properly test a battery the battery should be placed under some sort of load for some period of time to verify internal resistance is not too high.To verify this I placed a current meter in series with a good (new) AA battery. The tester showed the battery as good but current load was only 20 micro-amps. This is consistent with it just being a volt meter. I would like to have seen a current load somewhere between 20 and 100 milli-amps for 5 to 15 seconds before a "good - no good" determination was made.However, for the price it does a good job of providing useful if not complete information of battery health. The unit makes it a lot easier to measure battery voltage than trying to use a standard volt meter with standard probes.Having a display that also provided the actual measured voltage as well as the bar graph would have been nice as well.4 stars simply because a load test is not implemented. Otherwise a good unit at a good price.

Okay, let me start by saying I'm not a scientist. I'm not into whether this tester is "under load" or "over load" or whatever those terms may mean. I know that amount of precision is important for some people. Understood.For me and what I do know is that this tester gave results that I expected. For batteries that I knew weren't working (because the flashlight or other item wasn't working), this tester indicated those batteries were DEAD. For new batteries that should be GOOD with a full charge, this tester showed GOOD/FULLY CHARGED every time. For some batteries that have been used in items for a while, the tester showed WEAK, or slightly less than full. To be expected. I tested batteries from Amazon and other retailers. Duracell, Energizer, etc. If the batteries were supposed to be new, this tester showed they were. If they were corroded, had been used for a long time, or were well past the use-by-date, the tester showed WEAK or DEAD.That's what I wanted. I did look at some of the testers that were in the under $10 range. I didn't like the way you had to hold button cell and CR2032 batteries to test them. They easily slid out of those testers if you didn't hold them just right. So, I spent around double the price for this tester using it to test literally every size of battery I had from 9V down to the smallest button coin batteries. I had over 20 LR44 and LR1154 batteries I use in my bike computers. This tester quickly showed me the weak batteries and the good batteries. I knew what they probably were based upon use and the date on the package. But this tester verified those readings.I also had some loose batteries that I literally did not know if they were good or bad. I put every one of those in the tester and wind up with many dead batteries, some okay ones, and many good ones. It was easy to toss out the ones that I couldn't trust in the future using this tester.I gave the tester 5 stars. If it lasts, it's worth 10 stars. Unless you need scientific precision using load/no load factors, this tester is awesome in my opinion. I will buy a second one to have when I invariably can't find this one. Highly recommended.

Got tired of having tons of batteries in my utility drawer and not knowing if they were dead or low etc. This little gadget works perfect. I was able to check all my batteries to make sure they were good or bad. I only had to throw two away! Nice little gadget to have around. Batteries aren't cheap so you want to know if they are any good or not. Easy to read and easy to use.

I have purchased two other battery testers over the past 8 years and eventually they fail. I selected this one because it is simple to use and is made without an analog meter. The digital display is very simple and leads me to believe it will last a long time. Plus it can test many more battery sizes than any I had previously, include coin batteries. Top quality in my opinion.

Work well, well made, can test most common batteries types, fast response, comes in many colors, lots of info to review before making a purchase, plus they offer other products that you might want. The pricing seems a little high for what you receive.

After years of using a hard to use and/or not accurate battery testers, I broke down and made this purchase. The tester arrived quick, the only "set up" is inserting a battery to power the readout and it was quickly ready to use. With options to check multiple size and style batteries, this may be one of the best tools in my home. It is very easy to use and to read the power level when displayed. Living in Florida, we keep a large stock of multiple size batteries for use during storms and hurricanes that may keep our power off for sometimes days. We were able to easily check our inventory, eliminating low power cells.
