Electric Stainless Steel Samovar Tea Maker

We drink tea all day and I have long wanted an electric samovar. I looked at everyone on Amazon and read EVERY review over and over. There are always positive reviews and always negative reviews, so, I went with the samovar that looked the most authentically Russian, hoping that I would not be disappointed. Let me tell you, this baby is gorgeous and works perfectly. It is easy to set up and easy to use; boils to a rolling boil in just a few minutes and then has an adjustment to keep the water boiling all day. I was most concerned that the water would boil away too quickly and that I would need to keep filling the water chamber -- definitely not a problem. I have started it in the early morning and run it until late in the evening and have, NOT ONCE, had to add water to the boiling chamber. The description says that it does not come with a built-in tea infuser (though the photo on Amazon shows it with one). I figured I could live with that as I prefer to use the large paper tea filters, but when it arrived, it came with the built-in tea infuser (it's a nice one and especially helpful if you are planning to use the samovar with tea bags instead of loose tea). To my delight, the small tea pot rests on a flat area which is perfect to use with a little china teapot, which is the preferred method in Russia. I am a Russian Orthodox Priest, so if it is going to take up space in my home it needs to LOOK Russian as well as fit American electrical sockets and work practically and clean up easily. I have told my wife, several times over the past few weeks, that I could not be happier with this purchase!

hmm...my original review was 5 stars...after one year of use the proprietary heating element froze up and either boiled the water or had to be turned off...the medium and low settings no longer worked. With no luck trying to get it repaired locally (this is when we found out the internal workings were proprietary) I contacted the seller about the problem. They had me return it to them (free shipping both ways which was nice for me). They repaired it promptly and sent it back, letting me know to turn samovar down to low after water gets hot (I had been keeping it on medium because on low water didn't stay hot enough...it now works fine...and water stays hot on low. One caveat, which seller tells me is a UPS issue, not theirs, is that when samovar was returned, one of the side handles was broken off.

is not even a month ,the color on new Samovar start to show 3 black spots I tried to clean but doesn't work . I had Samovar all my life and I know how to take care of it

Underwhelming. Samovar feels light weight and flimsy. Not what I expected from german standards.

The samovar's body is nice however I was disappointed to see the tea pot was not the same as it was advertised. It did not match at all. I have my doubts if it's truly a Germany made item.

We recently purchased one and it works perfect. I work from home, so have a hot tea all the time is very good.

Shiny and bright, the samovar holds a lot of water and the top has a good recess that keeps the tea pot secure. I also like the weight of it. At first I thought it might be flimsy but it’s not. The controls are simple to use. My only complaint is that it's a little noisy when the water is coming up to boil. Over all, I am thrilled to have found a traditional samovar at a reasonable price. There is really nothing like it for a family that likes to drink tea!

Received the samovar without certificate of warranty which according to the enclosed manual should be filled out and submitted after purchase. Also wanted to add, the small kettle which goes on top of the samovar has a black plastic handle with Chineese name on it which clashes with white handles of the samovar.. Picture looks better than in real life :( I really love samovars and had used mine for 9 years before i replaced it with this one.. I don't this the product is made in Germany as advertised
