200182 Easy Solartent

Bought this to take on our flight to the Caribbean. Did not disappoint! Compact size (ca. 18" long) and low weight (ca. 4 lbs) made it easy to pack in the suitcase. As others have noted, may want to practice setting up at home so get the hang of it. Otherwise can easily be set up by one person in a couple of minutes. Sun protection was great and liked the open design that allows a breeze to come through. Can weight it down using the sand pockets but the included stakes really helped keep it grounded in the face of a strong breeze. We obtained a couple of low beach chairs from our hotel and these easily fit underneath the tent. A number of people on the beach commented on the design and shade it afforded. Overall was very pleased with this product.

It was missing two pieces but we didn't know until we took it out on the beach. It wouldn't go up. Complete waste of money but not worth the trouble of returning it. So, I dug a hole in the sand and lined it with the tent to fill with water for my son. A make shift kiddie pool=not bad. A sun tent=really terrible. Even if it had all the pieces it would have been a complete pain to set up. It has real tent poles. Nobody wants to deal with real tent poles on the beach.

We bought two of these. We used these once at the beach and it is great for laying down or taking a nap. It was a little difficult at first to put up, but once I learned how to put it up it was fine. If it is windy then it blows all around even with the stakes. That was annoying to constantly keep making sure your tent doesn't fly away. I would recommend this only for one or two people not a family. Also it wasn't tall enough to stand under. Annoying to keep bending down to put stuff away.

I set it up at home as recommended in previous comments. We're going to the beach this weekend and I'm hoping it sets up quickly if there is any wind, and that it provides adequate sun protection.

I never write reviews for products I have purchased, but in this case I feel it might be valuable because of how much I relied upon reviews to make my decision. This shelter is awesome. It is well made (durable material that is well stitched), quite large (you can easily fit two people sitting in low beach chairs, under it, or more without the chairs). It comes with a nice carry bag and four stakes for securing in the wind. It is strictly a shelter as there is no floor or back, but it is perfect for the beach, or in my case...for both the beach and for my 50lb catahoula dog at home (the second I set it up, he knew it was for him). Overall, great product for the price and I highly recommend!

Waste of money. Me and fiancé we're unable to get this to work. We followed the instructions to the letter with no luck. When I contacted the company they we're only willing to give me a partial refund...so now I use the canvas part to sit on during out door events. And the poles came in handy for getting some coconuts out of a tree in key west. Not what I bought it for but I am stuck with it. Do your self a favour and,get a different tent.

This shade is very thin. In fact so thin that I had to put my beach towel on top to have real shade. It small and easy to carry and is good to have if you are not allowed to put up a tent where you are.
