This game is fantastic! It takes all of the foundational elements kids need to read and puts them in a fun game so they are learning without even knowing it. Every time my kid puts together a character's name I know he is able to spell it, and he also understand the corresponding letter sounds. This is a great way to teach kids language rules in a way that makes it fun for the whole family! This game contains 5 different ways to play, including a math game, with 3 different levels of play. It will never get boring because you can change the game and move up in difficulty! The cards are also waterproof, which is great for kids who like to spill drinks:) Great gift idea for those learning to read, or any child that is struggling to read.

I have two dyslexic children, 9 year old son and 7 year old daughter, and am always on the search for entertaining and engaging games to play while instilling structured literacy. Well, I found it! Funny Mix Superhero Phonics has many game options, colorful superheros, and all around family fun. The other night after completing homework, I suggested my children and I play one of the five games. My daughter was thrilled but my nine year old son was not so excited. We chose Go Mix (similar to Go Fish) and not five minutes into the game, my children were squealing with excitement! We played for almost an hour and they loved yelling "I activated [Superhero Name]'s super power which is [super power]!" What a treat to spend quality family time while providing an enjoyable environment for reading. I am beyond grateful for the creative, thoughtful, and FUN games included. I highly recommend Funny Mix Superhero Phonics Learn to Read Card Game as a fun alternative for reading, learning, and decoding short and long vowels for all children, no matter their academic abilities.

Bought this for the kids to learn their phonics. They had so much fun playing The FUNNY MIX Superhero Phonics game that they didn't know they were learning their letters, sounds, and spelling skills while creating a Superhero! Very fun-educational!

This is a wonderful game/games! I was initially surprised by the size of the box. For some reason I anticipated a large board game box but this is about the size of 4 card decks or slightly bigger than an UNO box. This is a total positive because it’s portable and doesn’t take up a ton of space in my game closet. I played it with my 5 year old when she came home from school and she was engaged for an extended period of time. We loved the “Go Fish” game and will be sure to try other games soon. She was reading the words and picked it up very quickly. By the end my 3 year old was asking to play. The cards are made of a plastic material which will be very durable! Oddly, one came with a slice through one of the cards. I reached out to the company and received an immediate response! I will be receiving a new card ASAP. The customer service was prompt and personal. Awesome product, awesome company!

My 2nd class had a demonstration on how this game is to be played. I must say, every student was fully engaged and motivated to make words. They could not wait for me to receive our class game to play. The struggling readers in my class are working on mixing short vowel words, and the students who are good readers practice with the long vowel mixers but also the math component that is there. I printed off the coloring pages and they enjoy coloring the different super heroes as well. It has really helped me reach some of my struggling readers who are not motivated to learn and are hard to engage. I could definitely see how the Funny Mixers could benefit younger students, but I am pleased at the difference it has made with my 2nd grade class.

My pre-k classes enjoyed showing how well they knew letter sounds using the activities in this games. It is highly motivating and the students can read the names of the 3 letter characters by blending the sounds. Being able to do this encouraged them to want to blend other sounds together. They felt very SMART.

I am a mother of 3 and all 3 of my children love the Funny Mix game. They enjoy making the different superheros. They do not even realize that they are learning while they are playing the game. It certainly has helped them with their reading skills. I would highly recommend to anyone.

I purchased two "Funny Mix" games for Christmas. One for my children and another for our niece. When my children saw the colorful box they had to open it! We love the characters, the colors, the way the deck of cards felt in our hands and the poster! The kids wanted the poster hung in their room right away!!! We had a great time playing the game. Our 4 year olds collected the cards by matching all of the numbers on the cards. Next they matched up the holes on the top of the cards to build the bodies, then they read the letters for each character, sounded out the letters and put them together to say the names of the characters. We slammed our hand on the table when they were ready to read the name of their character. It was great fun!! By then end of the game our twin four year olds had each read the names of the characters, matched up the numbers and aligned the bodies by the holes on the top of the cards.
