Excellent scale with lots of info and repeatable results
The Dear Household (DH) app installed easily on my phone, paired with the scale, and connected to my home WiFi with no problems. I took quite a few weight measurements when setting up the scale, and they transferred to the app automatically. I was pleased that in the app I could easily delete these "test" measurements by selecting them one by one and hitting "delete". I've been weighing myself daily for over 10 years in a standard routine, using an older Omron scale that also can measure body composition using foot and hand sensors (which I do only occasionally). So the next morning I began measuring my weight in earnest with the DH scale in the same controlled conditions as always (first thing, wearing 1.2 lb of night clothes, after relieving myself, and before taking any liquid or food).I've also been checking my body composition using a professional machine (InBody) at a clinic every couple months for the past 10+ years since I took off 70 pounds and kept it off. So my InBody measurements nowaday don't change too much from month to month -- we're talking at most a couple pounds and a couple percentage points in fat, muscle, and water -- so that provides a trustworthy reference for the measurements taken with the new DH scale. I've checked my weight on the old Omron against the clinic's scale a few times over the years, and it's within a pound. The DH scale measures within a pound of the Omron, and more importantly, it gives the same weight (within 0.1 lb) every time, unlike other scales I've had that change by as much as a pound on successive measurements. That consistency is more important than absolute accuracy, since the name of the game for me is to see and react to trends in my weight and body composition. For the first daily weighing with the DH scale, I also used the hand sensors and waiting the extra time (about half a minute) for it to do the body composition test. That test, like the InBody's, provides a lot of detailed numbers, but I only watch a few, including weight (~175 lb), total body fat mass (InBody/DH = 36/30 lb), % body fat (21/17), skeletal muscle mass (78/83), and relative visceral fat level on a scale of 20 (8/7). As you can see, for some reason the DH underestimated my fat and overestimated my skeletal muscle mass compared to the InBody; time will tell whether that was a one-time anomaly or a consistent error. If I no longer had access to the InBody machine, I would be satisfied to use only the DH scale in the long term. Again, the trends are more important than the absolute numbers. For example, while my weight has varied only +/- 3 lbs in the past 10 years, I know from consistent trends in the InBody results that I've lost muscle in that time and gone from 14% body fat at my best to 21% today. Just getting old, I guess.

BMI Scale is off
Pretty near device. My concern though is the BMI scale. My BMI showed to be 24.4 so the scale says my body type is overweight muscular. However, according to WHO and the CDC the top range of healthy weight is 24.9 but the app states a healthy BMI max is 23. Why is this?Overall, I like it.

So much information
This review is for the following item: Premium Smart Digital Body Weight Scale with 8 Precision Electrodes – WiFi & Bluetooth Connected for Full Body Analysis -Track Body Fat, Muscle Mass, Fat Percentage – Rechargeable, Sleek Black DesignThis scale uses no batteries and must be charged with the included USB cable. To get the full benefits of this scale, you must download the Dear Household app and pair it with the scale. I had no issues pairing the scale and it only took a couple minutes before I had the scale up and running. The scale does appear to be accurate when comparing the reading to my other scale. But this scale gives WAAAAYY more information than any scale I have ever used. This is a listing of all the information that will appear on your app after you weigh yourself while holding the handheld handle.Weight - Heart Rate - BMR - BMI - Fat Ratio - Fat Mass - Muscle Rate - Muscle Mass - Protein Ratio - Protein Mass - Water Ratio - Total Body Water - Subcutaneous Fat Ratio - Subcutaneous Fat Mass - Left Arm Fat Ratio - Right Arm Fat Ratio - Left Arm Fat Mass - Right Arm Fat Mass - Left Arm Muscle Rate - Right Arm Muscle Rate - Left Arm Muscle Mass - Right Arm Muscle Mass - Left Leg Fat Ratio - Right Leg Fat Ratio - Left Leg Fat Mass - Right Leg Fat Mass - Left Foot Muscle Rate - Right Foot Muscle Rate - Left Leg Muscle Mass - Right Leg Muscle Mass - Trunk Fat Percentage - Trunk Fat Mass - Trunk Muscle Rate - Trunk Muscle Mass - Intracellular Water - Extracellular Water - Skeletal Muscle Rate - Skeletal Muscle Mass - Obesity Level - Adipostiy Level - Fat Control - Muscle Control - Weight Control - Standard Weight - Fat Free Mass - Visceral Fat - Bone Mass - Skeletal Muscle Quality Index - Body Type - Body Age - Health Evaluation - Health Score - Body Cell Mass - Minerals - Waist Hi Ratio - Recommended Calorie Intake. That is a HUGE listing of items. Some of the listings I knew what they meant, others I had to look up. If you are a huge fitness person, then maybe this is something that you would find necessary. For me, I would like to know my weight and my BMI. But I don't really need to know how much fat is in each of my arms and legs or even in my feet. So sometimes there is too much information to take in. But to each their own and this might be exactly what you were looking for.But as I said, I did find the scale to be very accurate and I do like that no batteries are needed. I can just put it on the charger when it needs charged.I also want to point out that the scale is a bit larger than normal bathroom scales as the handle is magnetically attached to the scale when it is not in use, making the footprint larger than most scales.I do like the scale.

Hard to use for two people
This scale measures everything, but I hate it for one reason: It confuses my husband and me (even when we press the appropriate buttons), not having the sense to see I haven’t gained and lost 30 pounds overnight, and recently it erased me and now I’m “guest” for no apparent reason. He’s got a profile created in the app, but he is also “guest” on the actual scale; his name doesn’t show up and his readings don’t map to his profile. It doesn’t need to be this complicated 🙄And it’s proven impossible to figure out how to go erase all the errant peaks in my weight trend.I don’t ask much of my scale. Just weigh/muscle mass me, weigh/muscle mass my husband, keep us straight. Too much technology and not enough common sense. If it weren’t too late I’d return it.
