This book exposes through many de-classified British and US intelligence documents the real reasons for the political disturbances in Guyana during the 1960's...Many politicians in subsequent eras have failed to sensitize the population as to the real reason for the hatred that exist between Indians and Blacks and the hand the US played in pitting these two races against each other in the 60's so as to root out Communism and the PPP from power. The facts have been distorted over the years and the hatred continues and this does not auger well for nation building.This book should be a must for all secondary school students in Guyana.

It is hard to find a book on Guiana, and while the author has a clear slant (as the title points out) it is still a good overview of the last 50 years of Guiana history and a must read for anyone who plans on looking into investment in Guiana or wants to learn more about the only English speaking country in South America.

The book was a misprint. Today, I got to a certain point whilst researching and discovered that it suddenly darts back and forward between the chapters. My order states that My return window has closed however I will be seeking a full refund as it's totally unacceptable!
