As advertised, this portable DVD player is very durable and last a long time thru rough drops on the floor.We bought this for a family member who has dementia and can only watch movies all day and when has spurts of tantrums, would throw this DVD player on the floor and wall.we were all so surprised of the durability of it. it lasted thru so many tosses.Finally after 1 year; it broke.This is our 2nd purchase. I would say if you don't rough handle it and even leave it on all day an night, it will last a long time.The screen quality is very good and picture quality is as good as you can get for this price point. I would say it is really good. It comes with a remote and the whole thing is user friendly - you don't need a manual to know how to use it. The play, fast forward rewind button is all there. Self explanatory for our grandmother to understand.I rate this brand and quality A+++. and the price point is in the right range.

This is a really fun DVD player. It's cheap yet feels well built, it's played every disc I've thrown at it. The sound is good though not anything special. Functionality wise, it's decent, though it's missing symbols such as the play symbol, which is just text. There is also no pause button just stop, though that isn't really a issue, playback speed is fine, and it has a last memory function. Picture is good but not anything special.Overall 4 out of 5 stars. It's solid especially for its price point. It's light, durable, and plays DVD discs well. Do recommend.

It works great for cd's especially with headphones or ear buds. Have not tried it yet with dvds. It took some figuring out to play for the first time. Seems great value for the money. Came packaged very well carefully.

WARNING WARNING WARNINGChanging the original review that I had. We have lost two of the 3 dvd players that we bought at the same time. After going through 10 dvds in one trip because they would all play for a while and then start skipping we realized that the two dvd players that still worked after 3 months of owning them were scratching the dvds while they were being played. I bought two brand new movies to watch for our Thanksgiving trip and after 20 minutes of playtime they stopped working. Took the dvds out and they had huge scratch rings. The players didn’t make any noise while this was happening so we had no idea. Do not buy these pieces of junk you will spend more money replacing your movies than you ever paid for the device.We bought one black, red and a blue dvd player for our boys first big road trip. I knew at this price they wouldn’t be great but I felt a review was needed. They are flimsy built. The closure for the dvd doesn’t seat all of the way so there is a small gap when it is closed and can be wiggled. It is this way on two of the 3 players. Movie quality is decent, sound quality is ok. Battery time is good so far but they have only been used once. It does take a while for them to fully charge. I would suggest charging the night before you need them. Even at $60 each we felt like they should be a little better. So 2 stars, price was decent but I’m afraid they will not hold up.

This portable dvd player was a life saver for me! I have a toddler who just so happens to be obsessed with a specific character and television show. I do a lot of driving between sports events with my older children and just driving in general, so it gets kind of hard to keep my youngest happy while she is stuck in the car for long periods of time. She knows how to work my cell phone and loves to touch the screen and press buttons. While trying to keep her occupied in the car, I try to put some videos on my phone for her to watch, but she is little miss independent and has to hold the phone herself. This causes a problem because she has to push buttons and play with it, which in turn, stops the video. Not fun to deal with, trust me. I have another portable dvd player, but that one has buttons exposed for her to press as well. This particular dvd player swivels to rotate the screen and close it to act more like a tablet. The best part is that the buttons are hidden when you close it down, so she can no longer change the video or turn it off! The speakers are still front facing, so the sound quality is still good. Sometimes it's good to go old school and have no touch screen! Now we have much quieter car rides and she stays nice and content. It holds quite the charge on the battery and also comes with the house charger and the power cord for the car as well. The remote makes it even easier for me to change the video from afar. The other great thing is that this unit also accepts memory cards and usb inputs! My other device does not have that ability, so you either watch a dvd or nothing at all (while in the car). With this device, I am able to download some of my kids' favorite shows or movies onto a memory card and they are able to watch them while we are out. One thing to keep in mind is the video format that needs to be downloaded, as I accidentally loaded the wrong format of video onto the memory card the first attempt at using it, and I had not completely read all the details on which files it accepts. After switching it to AVI file, everything worked out perfectly! We will be taking this camping with us next month, too.

The portable DVD player is nice overall, but I felt the price was a bit high for what it offers. The volume doesn’t go very high, which is a bit of a letdown, especially if you’re trying to use it in a noisy environment. It works fine for personal use, but if you’re looking for something louder or with more features, you might want to consider other options. Still, it’s decent for casual use.
