Great tool that's designed well
This tool is well worth the money! ($20.19) If you use nylon ties, this is the tool for you! It will pull the tie very tight and cut off the excess with ease. From 3/8" width to the the smallest it works great.I had no problem securing 16" insulated flex ducting to ceiling vents so tight it was impossible for air to leak or for the ducting to ever work its way off. This tool only needs one hand operation leaving your other hand free to align and position the tie exactly where you want it.

Premium product, High Qaulity
I've used Klein, Malco, and generic. These are by hands down, the better one on the market. If your gonna put mileage 'em, these would be the set to get. 💯

I didn't know what I was missing, but quality is just O.K.
The quality seems O.K. with the exception that I had the pivot fall out like someone else mentioned. I pressed it back into place and it works fine. It seems like an otherwise sturdy tool. It is simply not worth my time of returning it. It is also not worthwhile for my occasional use to find a suitable option at the same price or spend more for a better tool. If I used this daily on the job, this would be a big issue. However, for the price and my level of use, it seems otherwise sturdy and it works great. If you have never used one of these, being able to really tighten tie wraps is great. I had used various techniques such as two pairs of pliers -- one to pull the strap and one to push on the base. This is so much better.Next might be a video of something trivial, experimental, and useless such as seeing how it works tightening a tie wrap on a full beverage can. Will it cut through the center or bulge the ends :).

Heavy, rugged tool!
Disclosure: This is the first tool I've ever bought or used for installing cable ties, so I do not have much experience with them. I am very pleased with this one, though!I started out shopping for a pistol-grip-style cable tie tensioner but then I spotted this one and changed my mind. Largely due to this tool's all-metal construction and some warnings about other types of tools jamming in certain conditions. This tool is awesome. I am impressed with the build quality. The body is made of good, thick folded steel with a tough-looking powder-coat type finish. The cutting blade is honed into a nice thick slab of the same steel that makes up the body. The plastic/vinyl grips are thick and look like they'll last a while. The springs are impressive as well- they are made of much thicker wire than I expected. They have strong, steady return force and seem like they'll hold up for a long while.Though I have only used this tool to apply a few dozen cable ties, I'm in love. You can crank those things TIGHT with this tool and cut 'em off clean. It has worked equally well for me with tiny, narrow four inch cable ties and big ole' 16 inch black cable ties.TIP: If you squeeze the handles together before you squeeze the cutting lever, you'll be able to cut cable ties off flush at the 'buckle' with no protruding tabs. Makes for a nice clean job!NOTE: I thought this was made in USA but I called Apex Tool Group this morning (Parent company of Wiss) and was told that this particular tool is made in Taiwan. Nevertheless- it's a rugged tool. And a final parting note: This is an adult tool- it requires somewhat large and somewhat strong hands to operate comfortably and safely. If you are looking for a cable tensioning tool that children can use, this is not it.

Awesome
I use this for a heater ventilation project and didn't want to buy the over priced version of these. Took a bit to figure out how to properly use it. These will also come in handy for any other zip tie needs.

Works great
These are great for tightening zip ties that you just can't seems to get tight enough. I use them for duct work usually puting flex on a boot or takeoff. I do not have any complaints about this item.

Works well at tightening and cutting nylon ties, but...
I like this brand and now it works well, but when it arrived one of the rivets came apart. After recovering it, I superglued it into place and it seems to be holding, but this tool never should have been shipped out. Lousy Chinese quality control, or lack thereof. I may send it back to Amazon just to get one that is holding together, but I'm not sure the next one will be any better.

Poor quality, broke after minimal use
Product works fine but broke at the main hinge pin which fell out after minimal use over 8 months, have tightened perhaps 50 cable ties with it in that time, it still looks like new except for having broken in the middle and is now unusable. Do not recommend buying this as it will not last.
