Asian Art (Come Look With Me)

I know that a lot of artwork deals with religion, but it took away a bit from my liking of this book to have 3 images dealing with religious themes. I love Asian art and I perhaps would have chosen a few different pieces than the author did. It just do not know if these were the best options to engage children in art... plus you need a magnifying lens to really focus on some of the images because the artwork is on a large room screen so the detail in the book appears small.

I purchased most of this series since the first was was so great. Some are certainly better than others, but this is one of my favorites. Each piece of art (there are 12) is accompanied by a full page spread beside it that provides a bit of history/ background about the piece and then provides guidance for presenting it to the kids and working with the art. A great find and one I recommend to any who want to introduce their own kids (students) to some classic and contemporary art in an approachable manner.
