From the Manufacturer Perfect for a broad variety of spotting tasks. This scope is lightweight and compact yet extremely powerful. Spotting scopes are designed to let you view distant objects as if they were close-up. Unlike a binocular, a spotting scope generally offers a more stable foundation, with magnification power more like that of a telescope. In addition to our line of high-powered spotting scopes, Yukon Optics now offers high quality optics in a more affordable line. Designed and manufactured with Yukon's high quality optics standards, this model offers a Newtonian refractor system that allows the surprisingly small 9 inch variable power 20-50x50 scope to be easily packed away during long hikes or camping trips. As with all our scopes, the 20-50x50 scope is encased in Yukon's original rubber armored body to ensure durability. Full-featured optics allow perfect image quality in all weather conditions. Fully multicoated lenses and a detachable sighting device deliver excellent spotting ability. This model can be tripod mountable and can be purchased with our exclusive tripod/car window mount kit. Padded corduroy carrying case included with scope purchase. 3 year manufacturer's warranty. At Yukon Advanced Optics, all our products are fully designed by us, and are unique from any other products in the marketplace. If you're looking for the cutting edge in optical technology, look through Yukon.

Works okey at lower power setting
I owned two of the "older" Siber Optics versions of this Yukon spotting scope. Gave one to a coworker who is a hunter and then found another online for a good price. Consistent quality in each unit. Good coatings on optics. Both provided sharp images at 20x. Agreed that this is not good for those who wear glasses when using a spotter - very little eye relief. For a 50mm aperture spotter with achromatic doublet standard glass optics AND a flat mirror to bounce the image off of, one can't expect sharp images of more than 20x unless it incorporates extra dispersion (ED) rated glass. This little spotter design is compact and kind of unique but due to the eyepiece design does not provide wide field or high power viewing with any sharpness. I leave it in my car with a tabletop tripod so I can use it when the mood strikes me, like when a nice area to view comes up, place it on my front hood and do some nature viewing. Sturdy and reliable in cold weather also. Maybe a good quality 10 x 50 binocular would be more useful at this aperture - unless you are using this specifically for viewing targets at 100 yards. Not the best design out there, but still good enough.

Three Stars
Horrible eye relief, but it was fairly clear for the price.

First off zero eye relief - like actually zero
Yes its relatively cheap, but for a reason. First off zero eye relief - like actually zero, so you cant actually see the whole image even with your eye pressed into the glass. image is fuzzy at best and the 20-50 dial acts more like a focus wheel than the focus adjust does. for shooting or any sport where you need to wear safety glasses the eye relief makes it impossible to see without removing your safety glasses first. spend a little more and get something with some quality.

zero Eye relieve the scope should really cost five dollars and that's being generous
I wish I could give it zero stars . This scope is 20 x 50 X but it's really a 20 X if that. The difference in magnification from 20 to 50 X is more like 2x there is zero eye relieve the scope shoul really cost five dollars and that's being generous. Anyone giving this a good review is either getting paid to do so or has to have a severe metal handicap.

Very good value for the money.
I have an older version of this scope. True the eye relief is isn’t great but other than that the optics are stunning. High magnification with a clear crisp image. It’s a very unique design and the construct is very solid. This is a very good value for the money.

Yukon Advanced Optics 20-50x50 Spotting Scope
Sturdy construction with great magnification. Was really impressed with this item and would recommend it without hesitation. It was a bit bigger than i expected but still a great product at a good price.

Yukon 20-50x 50mm scope
Very, very, very poor optical quality. The image lacks of contrast and is blurry towards the edges. Hard to focus and the field of view is very narrow. Toy quality, I do not recommend buying it.

Saw the magazine review
After reading a really good review on this scope in Shot Gun news (June or July I think) I went ahead and ordered it. All of the other scopes in the magazine were hundreds of dollars but I could actually afford this one. Just like in the review it was clear lightweight and small. I plan on using it on a couple planned dear hunts in the next month. If you need a scope within these magnifications, this Yukon 20-50x50 works for me.
